The towing company is scammers. They towed one vehicle of mine (a budget truck) without so much as a tow notice or anything and I was unaware of the vehicle being parked illegally as I was in the process of a move and staying somewhere temporarily. A few days later they attempted to tow another vehicle of mine as I was at the residence getting my kid ready for school and it was outside of the towing hours and then refused to drop the vehicle without payment even after it was told to them they cant tow anything after 6am. At this point I feel it is targeted towing because I see cars parked on the street all the time in this neighborhood on the street and they arent being towed. I want the company to release my truck (which has all my belongings) free of charge because o should have been given a tow notice and chance to move the vehicle.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
The homeowners association list of rules was placed in mailboxes the day following my budget truck being towed therefore there was no prior tow notice given. The vehicle was not parked on the street as stated before. And my other vehicle was attempted to be towed after towing hours. The towing hours are 11pm-6am and my car was hooked up at 6:11 am. Therefore it was wrongfully picked up and I was required to pay a drop fee even though it was in black and white on the paper that towing stops at 6am.Business Response

I was towed from private parking lot by this company, despite being a customer from the store (with a receipt). There were multiple violations of the ************** Towing Ordinance including:-that towing happened after 7pm without written request from the business owner -the towing company took my car more than 15 miles away -they did not let me pay the full bill with my credit card (a sign in the store limits credit card purchases to $300)All of these items are in direct violation of the ********* towing ordinance (see link)********************************************************************************************************************************************** Online research has shown that this type of predatory towing is a common occurrence for this company, with some people having to pay thousands of dollars. The cost to recover my car was $560 which is excessive and predatory since they only had my car for one hour.Initial Complaint

8/6/2023 at ~8:45pm I pulled into a parking lot to shop at a business that did have signage, warning that only customers of the business could park there. Trust tow company was already parked there waiting for people that they could try to coerce into paying them. Of course, I did not know this yet. I was simply going to run right accross the street to pick up a mobile food order I had put in and then come back and shop at ************* with the signage. I figured they surly would wait and see if I was going to patronize the business or not. Little did I know they were ******* to take my car to their shop as soon as they could. I came out and calmly explained the situation. They proceeded to start threatening me and saying if I tried to call the police or ask anybody for help that they would steal my car. I panicked and agreed to pay them, but they do not have a card reader or any legitimate way to document transactions. They told me to use the *** at the business whos shop I was legally parked in. They proceeded to follow me inside and threaten me and eventually said I was taking too long at the ***, so instead of paying them $250 cash, I needed to Apple Pay them $300 immediately or they would steal my car. I agreed and while I was trying to send the money via Apple pay they kept running outside and messing with the **** like they were about to drive off despite me agreeing to settle on the payment. After I paid I told them I was going to go in and shop at the business I had every intention and right to shop at in the first place. Then they physically blocked me from going into the store and said I wasn't allowed there any more (they are not affilated with the store they are just towers) and that if I didn't leave now they're stealing my car. So I tried to leave in my car and they pulled the tow truck in front of the exit trying to block me from leaving! I was able to squeeze by them luckily and escape. They should not be able to do this to people!Initial Complaint

- 2/15/2023-2/16/2023 - Had to pay $7000.00 CASH to worker. For an illegal tow, LITERALLY 1.5miles away!!!!- Talked to ****************** and had confirmation to park my Semi over night, go back not even 6 hours later to go back to work and my truck is gone! Went to talk to ****************** and they did not authroize my truck to be towed. - Workers were beyond rude that i called at 530am and woke them up, they even threatned me i ended up calling the cops. - The company did not try to help in any way but was mad the cops got involved so they charged me $7000.00 to release my truck that they had for about 4 hours. They both came to the business about 830 and the guy was very defensive and wanting to fight. Crazy that, that kind of business can be legal!!! in all aspects!! ****** needs to check their books because it seems illegal.
