My car was illegally towed from my apartment complex. On, May 6/2025. ******** towing Company had towed my car away about 6am. My ****** forenza car does have insurance on it, as well as up-to-date resignation, and tags. I also have two parking permits that are placed in the back car window as well as in the front window of my car given to me by my Property Manager where it is registered. I had an important doctors appointment at 8:30am on that same day that I had to cancel. I went and spoke to the Property Manager where she called ******** Towing company herself and the company said the reason, they towed my car was because, one of my front wheels was touching the line. The Property Manager then told them that she hired their company to take cars from the apartment complex that did not have a sticker not cars that are registered and park on the line. The Property Manager then told them that they needed to bring my car back ASAP. When I went outside later, I noticed damage to my car that the Towing company had done to it. I went back to the Property Manager and told her. She gave me ******** Towing telephone number ************ to call them and tell them what has happen. But once I called the Towing company and told them what the damage was and asked for the name of their insurance company woman that answer was so disrespectful and hung up on me. So, the next day I took my car to a repair shop. I even had the repair shop personnel call the Towing company themselves again. But when the people at the repair shop told ******** Towing the damage and asked for the name of their insurance company the woman hung the telephone up on them. ******** Towing illegally towed my car all I am asking for the company to either pay me the estimate of $858.25 to have my car fix or provide me with the name of their insurance company name.

My car was illegally towed from my apartment complex. On 05/16/2025 I went outside to find my car missing from the parking space I always park everyday. My car has valid insurance, resignation, and tags as well has a parking permit from my apartment complex office where it is registered. I was giving the number to call ******** towing and the told me they did in have my car and the stated it was towed due to being inoperative which is untrue. They the lady at ******** towing said my apartment complex emailed them to tow which I found out today was untrue. I had to pay $299.25 to get my car this company is illegally towing people cars and needs to be stopped. I really would appreciate if I could be refunded for this illegal tow and this company needs to be fined.

Our employees took to their Apt. complex two reel trailers, total weight 225 lbs. and they were towed by this group. When we called top get them, they want to charge us $700 each. I see they have soooo mnay complaints on here. I am filing a complaint with the ************************ to investogate both entities and connection as predatory actions like these are a crime. Everyone who has complained please follow the following. Feel free to contact me and I will provide legal *** to sue these folks for back payments. Here are there ordinances that dictate towing fees and storage fees.-The maximum fee for towing a motor vehicle from private property is set at $120. No additional charges are permitted for using equipment such as dollies, trailers, lifts, or slim jims.-A storage fee of $15 per day may be applied, starting 24 hours after the vehicle is placed in the storage facility. Also, please consider each municipality has different rules but they all prevent this type of stuff.- Ordinance *****, an abandoned, nuisance or junked vehicle which is to be removed shall be towed only after notice to the registered owner or person entitled to possession of the vehicle is notified.I have each one for each town county and city....Lets come together and make them feel what its like to wrong good hard working Americans. We received call from this property asking us to remove the trailers and wire so we did. The Property where the wire and trailers where left was a private property that work under different rules. You can not leave materials on a privite property without permission from the management . We tried reducing the price and he refused. As we understand that nobody will be happy about their vehicles being impounded we are just doing our job servicing our customers.

I am rejecting this response because: We have contacted the Apartment complex and they have no record of being called.  We have called another potential person to see if they might have called but it's anticipated they will also state they have not called.  On another note, what you are doing, charging people what ever you think is "fair" is actually against NC law.  Your storage amounts and towing amounts.  These folks attempted to charge us $700 per trailer and a storage fee of $50 per day.   I have read through all your reviews and they dont look good.  You have benefited hurting people.  You have created a pattern that legally follows the NCCPA and the North Carolina Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act (UDTPA).  We respectfully believe this to be true (Deceptive Trade Practices) and we have our Attorney, *** *****, preparing a formal complaint with the ***** and the Attorney General of NC Office.  We feel like we have enough for the violation through BBB and a general advertisement we will post on Monday requesting anyone else affected by Carolinas Towing.  We request a copy of the written tow request as thats NC statue in relations to private property.  In the end, what they are doing is wrong and not right. We truly understand people get towed and there will be a bill, but we fully believe this is true predatory demeanor and price gouging.  We also believe that when ************** was under a State of Emergency, they violated the Price Gouging Law under the **** rules.  In the end, if they would have been "fair" this wouldnt have came to this.  Thanks

Ipulled into a parking but the store was closed. I went back to and sat in my truck and noticed a guy crouching by my tire. We asked what he was doing and he said you were trying to leave, so I am securing my boot The boot wasnt fully on and he stuck his body in between my wheels to prevent me from leaving He first told me $1500 then raised it to 2500. The police were called twice. they couldnt help, only there to keep the peace. They also said the company could tow the vehicle with us inside. once we reach their property, and could call the police back and charge us with trespassing on their property The tow driver lifted my vehicle with me and another occupant inside it, off of the ground . A few moments later , I finally had access to the funds to pay the fee, but the driver refused to lower the truck until payment was made I was forced to exit the semi while mid air, resulting in some injuries. This tow was illegal for many reasons. The parking lot does not have one sign that is up to code. One sign facing the outside street that cant be seen from the back entrance. The sign was also misleading stating it was customer parking only then under it no tractor parking. my interpretation was you can park there as a customer but not to just park and sit. There are 3 businesses in that parking lot with no signs facing the parking area. the fees listed for boot was $100-$1500 they charged me $2500 There are many violations with this company they are registered with the ***** to only be operating with 1 truck and 1 driver. They are using 2 trucks on scene that night with 2 +drivers. there were 3 people working on my vehicle this company is only registered to have one tow driver, then no one else should be touching my vehicle but that one person. It is a safety concern that someone who is not properly trained is disconnecting my drive shaft of my vehicle. all the tows done by the unregistered truck and driver Are illegal tows.

On January 21, 2025, my operational truck was parked on a public street at *************************************, when it was towed by Carolinas Towing Service, LLC without prior warning or justification, suggesting an unlawful non-consensual tow. This action lacked the necessary legal notices required by North Carolina towing regulations, making it invalid and unauthorized.Furthermore, Carolinas Towing imposed a towing and impounding fee of $4,000, which is significantly above the reasonable maximum charge of approximately $100 for non-consensual tows in the area. This exorbitant fee is not only disproportionate but also suggests predatory pricing, which I believe violates North Carolinas statutes on fair business practices.Compounding the issue, Carolinas Towing refused all forms of payment except for Zelle and EFS, contrary to Charlottes municipal code which mandates that towing companies must accept multiple forms of payment including credit cards. This restriction on payment methods raises concerns about the transparency and legality of their business operations.Despite several attempts to resolve this matter directly with the towing service, they have consistently ignored my communications and have not provided any form of refund or satisfactory explanation for their actions. Therefore, I am seeking a full refund of the $4,000 paid, citing the towing services non-compliance with state and local towing laws and their failure to conduct business within the bounds of reasonable and fair practice.Your intervention is sought to rectify this situation by facilitating a dialogue with Carolinas Towing Service, LLC for a full refund and ensuring compliance with legal standards to prevent future occurrences of such unjust practices.

These people are giving me the run around and I need my car back. Now they are refusing to answer the phone.

My car was towed November 6th for not having a parking pass, thats fine. I went to get my car and they charged a $30 storage fee. I went to pick up my car November 7th. The problem is they damaged my car. One of the drivers cracked my windshield. They said they would look at the footage, and then waited 3 days until November 9th. I had to call them to even get an answer, after they said they would contact me. Then they tell me their camera footage only backs up for 2 days. They purposely waited for after that time so they wouldnt have to take responsibility. These people are predatory scammers and need to be shut down.

******** Towing illegally booted my truck, charged me $3000 to remove chains from my wheels. I stoped by to eat at Jasmine ****** at this address *************************************************** Restaurant employees told the driver if he parks at the back side of the parking lot its fine to park. There are many trucks park there.Truck driver stayed at the restaurant than returned to the truck and was about to leave the plaza around 9:20-9:30 , All of the sudden 2 tow trucks blocked front and back side of the truck and trailer, a boot put on his truck and he need to pay $3000 in order for them to remove the boot, they gave him 20 minutes to pay with ***** or EFS, refused to take credit card. They threatened with towing and getting arrested if payment was not made within 20 minutes. I believe this is shady practices. They sign on the property allow parking for trucks that are customers. They driver was customer and we have receipt from restaurant. We filed complaint with Attorney general and will be filing lawsuit however if they refund us soon enough there will be no lawsuits.
