    3-10-2025 We were contacted by *** *********** with Palm Partner Public Adjusters to represent us on an insurance claim, water damage to our first-floor condo caused by an upstairs neighbor. We agreed to pay their fee of 20% of the total settlement.3-14-2025 Palm Partners sent out their mitigation crew who cut large holes in sheetrock walls and ceilings, cut out sections of carpeting, laminate flooring and chipped up a bathroom floor leaving their mess and the bathroom unusable for over two months now. Mitigation total = $9,328.60 4-29-2025 Palm Partners received a settlement offer of $19,053.04 from ***** Mexiac at ************************ which they accepted. Claim #*********-01 5-16-2025 We received a check from Palm Partners for $7,779.55 ($9,7244 minus their 20% of $1,944.89) and were told by *** *********** that it was our total payout. They listed our insurance company, ****************** and Casualty as paying a $9,724.44 claim. Claim # NC25-0100954 Summary:1. Our property was torn up in a mess for over two months.2. Palm Partners collected settlements from two insurance companies: ****** = $19,053.04 Universal = $9,724.44 Total = $ 28,777.48 3. Palm Partners is entitled to their 20% of claims = $5,755.50 and their mitigation fee = $9,328.60 Total = $15,084.10 4. The remainder of the claims was to be paid to us = $13,693.38, we received $7,779.55, amount still owed to us, but denied by Palm Partners = $5,913.83.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/06/2025

    The majority of the concerns were clarified. There was never an additional payment from ****************** and Casualty it was a system error that listed the wrong insurance company on the disbursement letter. ****** was the only insurance company to issue payment.

    After addressing this the homeowners still said they were dissatisfied. We have offered to refund them $1000 in good faith to resolve this issue.

    Regards,

    I am rejecting this response because: $1,000 will not cover the additional expense we incurred due to the condition Palm Partners left our condo in. We were forced to pay to repair the damage their mitigation team did to our property and our tenants have been living in the unsafe mess Palm Partners left behind since March 13th, including rendering the master bathroom unusable. We and our tenants both got less than we paid for, we need to make things right for them as well. We understand and have verified that ********* did not pay any claims on our behalf, that was an admitted paperwork error on the part of Palm Partners.

    What we will settle for:
    $1,800 rent reimbursement for our tenants
    $1,000 you offered on June 3rd to help cover repair costs
    Total = $2,800

    New settlement request emailed to ***** **** with Palm Partners on 6-8-2025

     It appears that their biggest concerns are with Palm Build. They have requested a refund for $2800 for tenant rent reimbursement and additional repair costs. On June 18, 2025 ********** offered them the requested amount in good faith to resolve the matter.

    Please let me know if you require any more clarity on the situation and I will work with the team to help resolve the matter expeditiously.
