Hello,My name is ***********************. I was visiting my friend for dinner at his apartment in *********. Multiple times I've asked if any vehicles were towed in his parking lot because there were other vehicles without the parking pass. 30 mins into the dinner I stepped outside and saw my car was gone. I was extremely upset. I called QC impound to find a solution and went to go pick up my vehicle. The sign in the parking lot said 275$ plus 100$ holding fee. I met the truck driver at the impound lot and he said he didn't even tow my truck and proceeded to charge me $555 for my car. He had no signage that was different than 415's parking lot signage. I was taken advantage and hassled. This all could have been avoided if I knew I wasn't allowed to visit my friends house. I am cancelling my trip to ***** due to the insane fees associated with their business. My vehicle was not the only one without the rear view mirror hanger, yet I was targeted for some reason. I was not trying to break the law nor was I aware I would be towed. I was simply just having dinner at a friends house.

This individual's vehicle was impounded because it did not have a parking permit. As mentioned in the complaint, some vehicle's have mirror hangers. However most have small residence stickers. Which are small and probably not very noticeable at night. We are a service provider. Not the rule makers.  Parking Enforcement is our scope of service to property.  If a vehicle is without a noticeable permit to be on property,  it is to be removed.

Nevertheless, there is a sign at the entrance that says permit required/ towing enforced.  And a very large noticeable sign near the center of the parking lot which says permit required, no exceptions/ towing enforced.

It is ultimately the residents responsibility to inform there guest of the parking rules of the property. Proper signs are in place to reasonably inform while entering the property.  Pricing is stated on the sign at the entrance.

We understand having your vehicle impounded isn't fun, and accountability doesn't feel good.  Hopefully moving forward this explanation will provide some better understanding.

    Best of luck in 2024

Last night, 3/2/23, I parked on the street adjacent to Gilde in LoSo. Upon return a few hours later I found my car had been towed. I was parked beside two private lots that had no parking signs associated, so I parked on the street as many other cars had. When I reached out to the business they suggested trying to call the phone number on those signs in the empty lots. No one responded and instead I was sent a text stating I must send a photo of my drivers license and registration to release the vehicle. I was only then given an address for the business (it was no where located on the signage nor ******** When I arrived a man who identified himself as Agent ***** appeared out of a tow truck wearing law enforcement apparel and weapons. He refused to give the name of the other individual with him or his first name. I immediately felt unsettled that this was not a legally abiding establishment. I did not pay that night but returned today after speaking with police. Agent ***** this time came alone, two other patrons were also there and were able to witness him accost and threaten me, using posturing, raising his voice and saying this was not going to be good if I did not comply with him. He threatened that he would not return my car to me and that he can do whatever he wants. Law enforcement was called as I did not feel safe conducting a transaction with this man. His business committed fraud by impersonating a law enforcement officer and fabricating false photos of my vehicle. This business needs to be addressed by the ***************** as this Agent ***** threatens the safety and well-being of our community.

    Hello,

We do not recognize or acknowledge this complaint submitted to be valid or true. And therefore except no liability or wrong doing for this matter. This persons vehicle was impounded because it was parked in the middle of the entrance to a commercial property. Blocking access to the property.

Also the entire release of the vehicle and payment of this individuals interaction with our associate's was RECORDED on BODYCAM. Which 100% PROVES our team conducted themselves PROFESSIONALLY and ETHICALLY.

When the claimant showed up to our impound lot, walked up and started interrupting the prior appointment, and yelling and calling our associates names. The bodyworn camera footage has shown the claimant was asked first, then told to wait by there vehicle until they were next. Then the claimant called the police. When the police arrived, our associate showed the officer the pictures of why the vehicle was impounded.  ********************* style="font-size: 0.875rem;"> explained to the claimant that our company has done nothing wrong. And the vehicle was lawfully impounded according to state, and City law.

Maybe this individual should take responsibility for there actions, and reflect on the choices that got there car impounded. Instead of making false claims up about our conduct and business practices. Along with throwing a tantrum amongst police officers and our associates.

Please be advised any and all complaints on this matter against QC Impound LLC will be viewed as slander and defamation. And QC impound LLC reserves the right to seek all legal remedies, especially in light you have been made aware that this was a lawful impound.

QC Impound LLC does not acknowledge or recognize complaints to be valid or true. And therefore except no liability or wrong doing for this matter.

QC Impound LLC has informed you that the signs were in place at the entrances of the property, and the Formentioned vehicle was lawfully impounded.

On Februrary 15th, 2023, my vehicle was towed from my residence. The specifications for towing in my community (which were emailed out that exact same day) are that you cannot park in a handicap parking space or any loading docks that are marked with lines. The vehicle was parked in neither. In addition to that, there was not and still is not any signage indicating not to park there. We were loading the car with luggage from the third floor to leave the state for work. Upon contact with QC Impound, they tried to deny the ability to pick up the vehicle until the following day, only with an appointment (even though they had left 10 minutes prior with my truck). When they realized the urgency to get the vehicle and also registered to a business, they charged $1,500.00 "CASH" or $1,500 plus an additional 10% to use a card. Let me just emphasize again FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS. Upon arrival, they then required a title to release the vehicle, which luckily I had, but I recognize that people typically finance and would not be able to provide this. They price gouged based on the urgency for me to get to work. This under most standards would be considered predatory towing and this business should be shut down due to their unethical practices.Let me also note that a friend of mine owns a local towing company and said maximum of $350 for a vehicle of this weight.

This individuals brand new lifted, with over sized tires Chevrolet **** Dually was parked in the middle of the road way, blocking traffic flow to the community. We observed this vehicle 30 mins prior in the same position, before our heavy wrecker arrived.  There were several open parking space in the area near where the vehicle was parked.

We have a sign at the entrance of the community listing fee's.  We gave this vehicle 30mins to move.

QC Impound LLC does not acknowledge or recognize any wrong doing on this matter. And will not be refunding.

On 12-3-2023 I parked my car in a lot that didnt have clear signage saying my car could be towed. When I returned an hour or so later, my car had been towed. I called the number and got a voice message. Then I received a text stating I could pick up the car if I proved I owned the car and my identity. I was told to send both a picture of my drivers license and something that proved I owned the car. I immediately sent a picture my drivers license and explained that if I could get in the car, I could show the registration. The answer was no and that I had to send a picture of proof before the car could be released. Luckily my daughter was at home and was able to find where I had paid property taxes on the vehicle. I texted a picture of that and then was told where to come to get the car and that he had an opening for 5:45. It was then 5:00. My daughter and I had walked to pick up the car. Someone who.called themself Agent ***** showed up. He was dressed as a police officer; wearing a gun, hand cuffs, a badge, flash light, and a bullet proof vest. I understand the need for safety but who is he going to handcuff? I was then required to pay $405 cash or if I used a credit card it would be 10% more. I work in a business that takes credit cards. No credit card company charges anywhere near that amount in fees. He then required me to have my picture taken with my license. I should have not agreed to this because with this my identity could be stolen. Presenting himself as what appears to be a police officer and calling himself Agent ***** would make someone think hes in law enforcement and I did at first. This business is what Ive now learned is called predator towing basically waiting for someone to park in what has few or very small signs notifying that your car could be towed and then making you pay an outlandish fee to have it released. Im not sure its illegal but it sure is immoral, unethical and at the least, bad business practice.

This person's vehicle was impounded because it was parked illegally without permit on private property, next to all he breweries in LoSo area of *********. The signs are posted at both entrances, plain as day, and on the building also. We even put reflective tape on the sign poles. This area has people parking everywhere drunk, every weekend. The whole street has bars etc. We called CMPD, and got a case number prior to towing. The claimant's vehicle's were parked literally 20 ft from the no parking signs. We do not recognize or acknowledge this complaint submitted to be valid or true. And therefore except no liability or wrong doing for this matter. "Parking Permit Required". Towed at owner's expense. Also the entire release of the vehicle and payment of this individuals interaction with our associate's was RECORDED on BODYCAM, at one of our impound lot. Which 100% PROVES our team conducted themselves PROFESSIONALLY and ETHICALLY. At no point were our associates disrespectful or weird, or used profanity or any level of misconduct to this individual. Just a suggestion... Maybe this individual should take responsibility for there actions, and reflect on there choices that got there car impounded. Instead of making false claims up about our conduct and business practices...

QC Impound does not recognize this complaint submitted to be valid or relevant in any way. And therefore except no liability or wish to provide any refunding on this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:

I take full responsibility for parking my car in a spot where I should not have parked but it is false to say that the signs were within 20 feet of my vehicle.

It IS IMMORAL AND UNETHICAL for the employee to make themselves to appear as an agent of the law in the course of this type of business. It was intimidating and made me feel like I was forced to give up my privacy by allowing this person at his request to take a picture of me and my drivers license together which creates a risk of my identity being stolen if that picture gets in the wrong hands.  I take personal responsibility for my actions and therefore not in need of your suggestions.

If this person is just a tow truck driver and no intimidation was meant to be implied, then why do they need to refer to themselves as Agent *****?  Also, why the need for this person to dress as a police officer and carry handcuffs?  Handcuffs are used by law enforcement and I see no reason for a person driving a tow truck to use handcuffs.

My car was parked in a lot where the sign warning of towing was not in clear visible site. My car was towed with the parking break on causing potential damage to my car. The business claimed they sent text messages warning of the tow which I did not receive. The individual, Officer ****** would not tell me the location of my car until I sent my drivers license and proof of ownership via email all which was inside of my car. Once I arrived at the lot, there was no markings that this was an actual business. I was forced to hand my credit card over an iron fence surrounded with barbed wire to a man I couldnt even see. He would not show me the break down of the pricing until after I paid in full. He charged me for additional days of storage when my car was only on the lot for an hour. When I asked for a refund he stated that it was already refunded for the additional days. It has not been refunded and *** filed a dispute with my credit card company. The man was also degrading and intimidating towards me considering I was a white female trying to handle the situation on my own. I feel as if he took advantage of my vulnerability by charging me unnecessary fees and talking to me in a degrading manner.

    Hello,

We do not recognize or acknowledge this complaint submitted to be valid or true. And therefore except no liability or wrong doing for this matter. This persons vehicle was impounded because it was parked on private property without a parking permit. As the two large signs at the entrances state, "Parking Permit Required". For the record. News flash.. Picking your car up from a Impound lot *****. That goes without saying. But your not getting a coffee at ********** It's not intended to be a nice experience. Just a suggestion... Maybe this individual should take responsibility for there actions, and reflect on there choices that got there car impounded. Instead of making false claims up about our conduct and business practices...
