    On June 24, 2025, I visited The *** Store #**** to have a university document notarized by an employee named ******* ****** ********* I submitted the document as required, only to be informed by my university that the notarization was done incorrectly, key information including the printed name of signer and type of government-issued ID was left blank. This error caused my document to be denied, jeopardizing my enrollment and financial aid refund.I called and returned to the *** Store on July 14, 2025, and ******* acknowledged the mistake. He re-notarized the document free of charge, but I was still forced to pay $105.25 out of pocket to ship it via *** Next Day Air to meet the universitys hard deadline of July 15, 2025. I asked if the expedited shipping fee could be waived due to their error, and the request was denied by ******* ****** *********I am a graduate student pursuing my MBA and I am experiencing financial hardship. This unexpected charge has directly impacted my ability to pay bills while awaiting my financial aid refund. I did everything correctly on my end. I should not have to bear the financial consequences of a notarys negligence.I am filing this complaint to seek:A full reimbursement of $105.25 Acknowledgment of the notarys mistake Stronger oversight and accountability measures at this *** Store location I have already contacted *** Store Corporate ************************************************* but have received little to no care or accountability regarding this issue nor have I recievd a resolution. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of ownership and concern, especially considering how seriously this affected my academic standing and financial stability.

    We do apologize about any incovences however the shipment was a seprate transaction outside of the notary. The notary was Redone free of charge and a small discount was applied to the transaction. Our location is very busy but we do our best to go above and beyond for every customer. We apologize that our service didnt meet her standards but we cant give compesate a $10 dollar purchase with a $110 shippment. Notaries are also non refundable.
