On May 13 2021, we had a house fire. On June 22, 2021, after a consult, I signed a contract with ALL CLEAN and *********************** to pack, clean, store, and return contents to home when the initial company had difficulty moving out the contents. This work occurred between June 23, 2021 and June 25, 2021. At a meeting in July to review contents retrieved from original company, we inquired about missing items and ***** stated that he did not have them. At the end of July, no structural work had been conducted on the home and no contract for structural work had been furnished. Around July 22nd, I received an email from **************** stating that an invoice had been sent to my insurance company though no work had been reviewed. On Aug. 4th, I received an email from the insurance company stating that **************** was denying the company and Contents Adjuster access; **************** emailed that he would be placing a lien on our home. After emailing back and forth, he agreed to allow the Contents Adjuster to come on Aug. 11th and 13th. On the 13th that the items that **************** earlier denied being in possession of were discovered in his place of business. After an email exchange on Aug. 27th, **************** sent us a notice of intent to lien our home in early September 2021, again though no labor had been performed or materials furnished were used in the erection, alteration, or repair of a building or structure. **************** declined the insurance payment, refused to return our possessions, and filed a lien on our home. After hiring an attorney and 15 months later, **************** finally released the items in September 2022. Upon receiving the items, the majority of the boxes, including kitchenware boxes, had packets of what appeared to be rodent deterrent. One of the boxes had what appeared to be rodent droppings. Three of the boxes were not ours. The refrigerator, which had been wrapped in saran wrap, had a dead ***** in it. Several kitchen boxes had dishes which were covered in soot.
