In the midst of several family crises, I just realized that I never posted this complaint. Nevertheless, it would be very remiss of me not to pass on this information. Jack with Lamm Electric installed the light fixture in the kitchen area in July, 2023. On 2/14/24, I took down the glass shade to replace a bulb that burnt out. When I put the globe back on, it was not secure (wobbling). So, for fear it would fall and break, I did not leave it up there. Also, I noted that the same type of fixture installed in the upstairs hallway (June, 2023) was secure. On this same date, I left a message for ****, the owner to call me and via our phone conversation on 2/15/24, I was dumbfounded and disappointed with his response. He stated that he did not want to charge a $125 for a service call to address my concern. Therefore, he asked if I could not get a neighbor or handyman to take care of it. When I questioned him about this, he stated that he did not take the glass shade down. But I had to remove it in order to replace the bulb and I told him the fixture upstairs was secure. It is noteworthy that this experience was totally different from my initial contact with Lamm Electric in June, 2023. In fact, it is a very positive review. Nevertheless, I felt myself getting upset and did not want to be rude; so, I politely ended the conversation.Referencing the mounting fixture diagram, the handyman had to keep adjusting the ****** until he was able to insert the Cap and thread the Finial onto the ****** to get the glass shade to fit snugly. Concerning this matter, an appropriate resolution would consist of a portion of the payment of $107.25 being refunded as well as an apology.Respectfully submitted.

**** originally came out on 6-28-23 to replace two light fixtures that the customer purchased, one in the hallway and one in the kitchen. I personally went out on 7-7-23 to check on the kitchen light fixture that the customer decided she didnt like (I dont recall why she didnt like it). I told the customer to purchase another light fixture and we would replace it for her. **** came back out on 7-11-23 and replaced the customer supplied light fixture with a new customer supplied light fixture and customer supplied bulbs at a discounted service call. The customer called several months later and said a bulb was bad in the kitchen light. I tried letting her know that we didnt warranty bulbs since it was not one that we provided. I told her what our minimum service fee was and then I asked her if she had a neighbor who could help her or a possible handyman who would charge cheaper rates. At that point she started telling me that she couldnt believe what I was telling her several times and then she hung up on me. We do not normally warranty bulbs that a customer supplies, we probably could have done a better job upfront letting her know that.

I am rejecting this response because: Thank you so much for your immediate response. As stated previously: On 2/14/24, I took down the glass shade to replace a bulb that burnt out. When I put the globe back on, it was not secure (wobbling). So, for fear it would fall and break, I did not leave it up there. Also, I noted that the same type of fixture installed in the upstairs hallway (June, 2023) was secure. Consequently, the issue is not "warranty on bulbs;but rather installation.  As such, please reconsider the appropriate resolution in its entirety.  Again, Respectfully submitted. Again, Respectfully submitted.

When the customer supplied light fixture was installed originally the globe was secure. The removal of the globe is necessary to replace the light bulbs in this particular fixture. We feel that we should not be responsible for how the globe comes off and on each time that the bulbs need replacing as we did not design or supply this light fixture. As stated in our first response we should have made it more clear that we do not warranty replacing customer supplied bulbs of which removing the globe and reinstalling the globe is a part of. We will refund the customer for the last service call that we performed to replace the kitchen light fixture in the amount of $107.25. Please let us know if a check mailed to your address will work for you.
      Thanks,
