I filed another BBB and they refunded me 66 and cancelled my membership. Or so they said .. guess what? They still are charging me $22 a month.Business Response

We came in for a cash wash on March 20th, 2025 at the ************ location (***********************************************) and had the attendant take our credit card to pay for the car wash. I purposely mentioned that I needed just a ONE-TIME car wash, to which the attendant confirmed it was a one-time payment for the one car wash.Months later we realized we've been charged the $22 every single month since March (it's end of July now) and upon calling them several times, it always went to voicemail with no one ever calling us back.We would like to get our money back for all the charges since April until July and to cancel this recurring charge that was NOT authorized by us.Business Response

On March 25, 2025, at the Take 5 Car Wash in ******, ***** (operating under Car Wash USA Express), I was misled by an employee into what was supposed to be a one-time car wash for my daughter. I was never told this would result in a monthly recurring membership.Since then, Ive been fraudulently charged on 4/25, 5/25, and 6/25. In April alone, there were six failed charge attempts, which caused $3 in bank fees. This was not an errorthe membership was created under a sticker and license plate that does not belong to me or my family. That clearly shows this was an intentional action, not a system mistake.I contacted management at this location and they have been unresponsive.When I contacted customer service, they refused to immediately cancel the service and told me the sticker would remain active until 7/25/2025, which means Im still being charged for a service I never agreed to and am not using.I have contacted the police and will pursue this matter until it is resolved. Firstly, I am very sorry to hear about your customer service experience, I have spoken with the employee's supervisor, and she's told me that they've already had a sternly worded conversation, to phrase it professionally, regarding this incident. I've looked and your refund has been submitted for a check to be sent. Please allow 3 - 6 weeks for that to arrive. As for the bank fees, unfortunately, I am unable to refund the $3 as we have no control/input over an agreement between you and your bank. I do apologize for the inconvenience. Also, when I checked, your membership will not renew on the next renewal date.

I am rejecting your response regarding the unauthorized membership and charges. This was not a mistake, it was unauthorized billing, which is fraud.
Your employee enrolled me in a recurring membership without my consent, charged my card, and caused avoidable bank fees. Your refusal to refund those fees is unacceptable.
I am demanding:
Reimbursement for the bank fees your actions caused
Written confirmation that no further charges will occur
Additionally, I want to know who has been using the sticker and whose license plate is *******.
Law enforcement is aware of the situation and may follow up. I am also prepared to inform the local community if this is not resolved to my satisfaction.

I went back today ( havent been there since they damaged one of my vehicles and never called me back when I took images and filed a complaint about it . This was a very costly repair !!!!Today they took my membership badge out of my hand when it wouldnt open the gate and ripped the sticker off and told me to put it on my windshield !!! I told them I was not allowed to put anything on my windshield as this car was my late father in laws . Then he took the sticker and folded it in half in front of me . Told me there were new policies and now when I come through the wash each time I have to give them my name to look up ( or I can just cancel my membership ) he was rude to me and didnt care if I canceled . He even said it more than once or you can just cancel well thank you I will!! There are 5 car washes close but but i was trying to stay loyal .Business Response

We moved to ****** July 2023. Shortly after moving here I purchased and subscription for take 5 car wash. Within a week I noticed the wash wasnt good and sought for another car wash. I found a better one and promptly cancelled my take 5 account. Almost two years later I realized they had been charging me all this time. When I contacted them to conceal and receive the refund for the years they charged me they refused to reimburse except for one month. I would like a full refund as it easily proven I didnt use the car wash once during all that time. I had been informed by email that it had been canceled but it actually wasnt. On 5/4/25 I took my vehicle in for a car wash, (I bought a monthly membership in July of 2021 after I purchased a new ******* Palisade). As the attendant was ushering me onto the conveyer belt, I noticed that the machines were not moving (i.e. the wipers, scrubbers, etc. were all hanging limp in the air). Also, no water was being sprayed onto my vehicle. I began honking my horn as the conveyer belt continued to carry me through the normal path, however by the time the attendants stopped the conveyer belt, a large cluster of wipers were already resting on my hood and windshield.The attendant who came out to assist asked me to reverse my vehicle on the conveyer belt, which I did, and then she told me to stop (abruptly), which I did. The attendant then decided to have me move through the wash and circle back around to get a full wash as they had fixed the issue. This is when I saw the damage to my hood. I filled out the incident report form and was assured that someone would call me later that day to discuss the process by which I would be made whole (repair the hood damage to the side of my vehicle). No one called so I called and left a voicemail at the car wash about a week later. Nothing back so I called corporate and was again assured that someone would call me back. Nothing. I filled out an online complaint with their corporate office. A representative named "***" responded to my complaint by telling me that all claims are handled onsite at the carwash and that I would have to return to the car wash to see about the progress. I replied and let "***" know that I had already done this and that the associates working at that particular carwash (****** and HWY 100 in **********) were completely non-responsive. I returned to the car wash 3 times and have left multiple voicemails and a physical, hand-delivered note for the manager. I have been told that the manager is not in and has been on vacation. 5/18/25:Purchased $10 car wash for my white 2013LexusRX350, wiper blades were ripped off.Employee was able to retrieve the ********** fit the other one had a broken clip and needed to be replaced.I went to AutoZone and purchased a new one.Employee put the blade on and ask that I turn the wipers on, they didn't work.Drove back to the car wash and informed the employee and asked for corporate. He said to come back 5/19/25 and speak with the manager.I returned 5/19/25 spoke with **** ******.He told me to get an estimate, the process will move faster.5/20/25:Took my car to ****** Lexus.5/22/25:Picked up my car and estimate ($1342.49).5/30/25:Took estimate to ********* and completed the damage claim.He told me to go to ***** for a more affordable estimate. 5/31/25:Couldn't find AAMCO.Drove back to the car wash.********* gave me an address (3916 W *********), still no *****, the business is called Texas Elite Collision, they were closed.6/2/25: Returned to Texas Elite Collision, got an estimate ($812.12) Took the estimate to Mr. ******* he told me it will be 10 days before I get a phone a call.I still have not heard from anyone as of this day.I have explained I am the single parent to a medically dependent child and have no other mode of transportation.I asked if this could be handled urgently due to the weather.When it rains, I can't take my daughter to the doctor or ********** has rained 5/18,5/20,5/21,5/22,5/23,5/24,5/25,5/26,6/1,6/2, 6/3 6/4,6/7 6/8,6/9,6/11.I could not travel to appointments for me or my daughter, drop her off at daycare, or go to the store I've been getting the run around from customer service and *********.I emailed customer service 5/26,5/28,6/3 and 6/13.I emailed ********* 6/9 and 6/13 plus drove there on the dates documented above.Please assist me with getting an approval for the repair of my wipers and the reimbursement for the wiper blade.I can't express enough how this is an inconvenience and unfair to me and my daughter.Thank you in advance!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: DateProblemOccurred: 5/18/25 DatesComplained: 5/18/25 5/19/25 5/26/25 5/28/25 5/30/25 5/31/25 6/2/25 6/3/25 6/9/25 and 6/13/25 PurchasedProduct: $10 carwash and $34 windshield wiper blade.Normal wear and tear for wipers is the rubber coming off the blade or the rubber has been worn and not clearing the windshield. What's not normal wear and tear is going in the tunnel with the windshield wipers off and folded in place and coming out of the tunnel with the windshield wiper arms on the windshield with no blades attached, an employee stopping the equipment to retrieve windshield wipers, putting them back on only to find the clip was broken and the wiper needed to be replaced. I've gone through several other car wash tunnels and had no problem. I think you need to reevaluate your equipment because according to Mr. ******* this happens often and you all have replaced, returned, and repaired the wipers. Mr. ****** also said to get an estimate to move the process, he even told me were to go to get a cheaper *********** car was taken for 6 months maintenance in March and there was not a problem with the windshield wipers, they worked fine.If I may suggest, please view your camera on the date and time in question, 5/18/25, which is listed on the AutoZone receipt included with initial complaint.I purchased a $10 car wash from your business on the way to an event I didn't attend because it rained and I had no wipers. I never expected to purchase a $10 car wash and the addition of $815 worth of damages that wasn't there prior to going through your car wash tunnel. I have fulfilled all of the requests made by Mr. ****** and ******* in the support department for Take5 Car Wash. I am writing to formally dispute your claim that the damage to my vehiclespecifically, multiple scratches to the hoodwas not caused by your mechanical car wash. These scratches were not present before I entered your facility on 6/1/25, and they are consistent with contact from mechanical components, such as the brush rollers coming down onto the hood within your automated system. There is no logical reason except for this type of damage due to the consistent similar characteristic (width and depth, etc.) scratches found throughout the hood.I have attached clear photos documenting the damage. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the customer's concerns regarding alleged scratches to their vehicles hood after visiting our car wash.
At Take 5 Car Wash, we take vehicle safety and customer satisfaction very seriously. Upon receiving the complaint, we conducted a thorough review, including examining our surveillance footage, maintenance logs, and speaking with our on-site team.
Based on this investigation, we found no indication of malfunction or irregularities with the wash equipment on the date in question. Additionally, the location and pattern of the reported scratches are inconsistent with the rotation, alignment, and reach of our wash brushes. Our equipment is designed and calibrated to minimize contact pressure and avoid any surface damage when properly used.
Furthermore, no other similar complaints were reported that day or in the surrounding time frame, and our brushes are made of soft, foam-like material that is regularly maintained and inspected to prevent any abrasive contact.

The link in the email was invalid. Upon showing email for the $27 Unlimited Wash I was given the lesser Wash of $22. Manager ****** ******** told me I was not given the full price even though he was aware I paid for The higher priced wash. All of the phone numbers he gave me for customer support either were invalid or directs me back to the web site. He told me this is a common practice at his establishment. In September of 2024 I used the Take 5 Car wash at ****************************************. The car wash attendant took my credit card and said that he would give me unlimited washes for the month since it was the same price as one wash due to a promotion they were doing. One month later I saw a charge from them appear on my credit card and at that moment I realized they were using my card for recurring payments. I reached out to Take 5 to notify them that I wanted to opt out of any recurring payments or memberships etc and on Nov 3rd received a confirmation email stating that my membership was successfully canceled. I have just recently found out through a review of my credit card bills that Take 5 has continued to bill me $22 a month (November 2024 to present) despite my having canceled my membership. I have not used their car wash since my original visit in September of 2024. This has resulted in $176 of fraudulent charges that I would like to have reimbursed by the company. I would also like to make sure that my credit card information is erased from their systems to make sure that they cannot make additional fraudulent charges.Business Response
