    I purchased an Americh Confidence **** tub with air jets. It leaked upon installation. The design was so bad that it you could see daylight around each of the air jets. I am now forced to pursue legal action to get Americh to pay for having to remove and reinstall a replacement tub. They do not stand behind their products and their Airbath tubs are very poorly designed. In addition, Americh has a very limited service network with no service technicians in Northern **********. Americh's sales network is distributor oriented so forget about getting any kind of service from them if you are an end customer.

    While we regret that ************** experienced difficulties with our tub, we believe this is an unfair description of the events that occured. We take great pride in our craftsmanship as well as our dedication to our customers and feel it necessary to respond with the facts. The owner of our company dealt directly with ************** and had the tub brought back to our facility. Upon inspection, the jets that were in question were damaged (not defective). They were most likely damaged during installation as ************** admitted they had difficulty fitting the tub into the deck they built. If the problem had been present prior to the installation, then the tub should not have been installed and we should have been contacted immediately. Regardless, Americh offered to repair the damaged jets but then ************* insisted on a new Non-Jetted tub. We obliged his request and recently provided the dealer with a credit for the difference between the original tub (air system) and a soaker (non-jetted) tub. ************** submitted a **** for approximately $3800 to take out the original tub and re-install the new tub. When we explained this was not covered under warranty, he threatened legal action. He also expressed concern that we, nor our dealer shared the warranty with him, although our warranty is openly posted on our website for prospective customers. Clearly, he did not inquire about warranty prior to his purchase and is now expressing his frustration against us. We have done everything expected to resolve his issue in a reasonable and timely manner. It is certainly within ****************** right to complain to the BBB but we believe he is he is unjustified in his comments.
