***** came out to repair our refrigerator drawer in January 2024. He told us what the issue what and indicated he had to order the part and he had to collect payment for the part. We paid for the part and he indicated he would be back once it arrived, likely within a week. He said there was a delay, then said he didn't have the part, then had the part and scheduled service (didn't show multiple times), then had to order the part again, then got it and was going to come out but never showed despite repeated appointments we made via phone or his online scheduling service. We continue to call, book appointments online through his service, etc and he does not come out. He does not return calls when we leave him messages. We have been trying to get him to come out and install the part we already paid for for 11 months. If he does happen to answer our call, he books a time and then fails to show.Initial Complaint

I set up an initial appointment for a thermostat that had no power to it. They came out on 1/24/2024, replaced a fuse and diagnosed the problem as a bad thermostat. We agreed that I will purchase a new thermostat, try it out, and if it stil doesn't work then they will come back to further look at the issue. The thermostat was not the problem (brand new thermostat still has no power), and now they are ignoring all my calls and texts and do not want to come back to finish the job.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I paid this person to repair my A/C, which he never did. He replaced a fuse, told me to buy a new thermostat and left. When it turned out that the thermostat was not the issue, he refused to come back and finish the job. I sent him numerous messages, which he ignored. He never repaired my A/C, so he owes me back the money I paid him minus the cost of the installed fuse.Business Response

On 3/8, the man from HE Appliance came to do a diagnostic on my refrigerator. He stated a repair cost of 739.95$ including the part. When I asked how much the part cost he would not say. The basic plan was to send the part to our house and schedule a time to return and repair. He asked me to pay the full price which I did by credit card. We went out of town for a week, and the part showed up at our house. I decided I did not want this part or any more of his service. When I tried to call and return the part, he stated "no cancellations, no refunds". The company from which the part was ordered would not receive the part back since it was purchased through his business account. Even though he had not done any work and the part could be returned for full refund, he stated I had already paid for the work and the deal finalized. This is a scam.Business Response

Look please quit sending me emails about this customer ***************************. His parts was ordered. His job was agreed-upon. He signed off on his work order. His job needs to push forward. We are not refunding him. We have a new refund policy. he does not need any guidelines Again his part was ordered. His part was shipped to his house. He signed off on his receipt. He agreed upon getting the job done. **** already told him this. We dont need a third-party to deal with this issue on our end. This issue has been done with thank you. No, if he wants to have the job done, then he can call us us. Please quit sending us emails about this. We dont deal with the Better Business Bureau of the customer has an issue we deal with it. In July 2023 I contacted owner of company because my air conditioner was not cooling. He came out and checked it and after a few minutes he said the compressor is bad and would cost $3,100 to replace. I asked his opinion about replacing and he said he probably would so I paid him and he installed. Within a couple of days we were hot again. He came back out several more times indicating I had a leak. It finally became clear to me, I needed to call someone else. I called another company who replaced the unit and indicated some errors that were obvious from previous repair. They generally take the old unit when they replace with a new one, however, the gentleman from previous repair requested that old unit be left and that he would pick it up as well as work on getting me a refund. On November 3, 2023 he sent me a text that I would be receiving certified checks totaling $1,000 and he would be by to pick up the old unit. He has now stopped responding to my attempts to contact him and I am going to have to pay someone to remove the old unit. This was totally a scam.Initial Complaint

HE Appliance Repair LLC. was hired to fix my ** refrigerator problem of not cooling and displaying error code Er dS on Friday, May 05, 2023. ***** the owner of the company came to service refrigerator and within a minute without any diagnostic, he said refrigerator compressor is gone bad. I asked him how did you determine so quick that compressor is bad? His quick reply was I have 27 years of experience. I requested a replacement cost and he quoted $989.95 to replace compressor. I asked his opinion what he will do if it was his refrigerator? He answered I will replace it and it will be good for another 5 years. I agreed and same day around 6 pm he replaced a compressor. I promptly paid him via Zelle his invoice. Next day (05/06) morning my refrigerator was displaying same error code. I called him and he send ****, his employee. **** worked with sensors and left. After he left, error code was back around 5:30 pm. I informed ***** and he said he will come and see next day (Sunday). ***** came on Sunday (05/07) and said there was a leak from compressor line. He fixed leak and went away. Same day Sunday error code Er dS was back around 1:45 pm. I informed ***** same day. We waited 10 days for him to come (came on May 18). He manually defrosted and replaced couple of sensors. On May 23 error code was back and meanwhile refrigerator temperature started going up. I called ***** on May 24 and he said main board may be bad. He will order a board. It took him about 9 days to get a board which he replaced on June 02, 2023 at around 11:30 am. After he left in about 3 hours error code was back. I called him and left a voice mail. He messaged me on June 04. On June 05 he asked me to send refrigerator name plate information.On June 08 he messaged me that he is ordering some part. At this point I told him I am not interested in throwing any more money. Requested him to take his compressors and board and even refrigerator so I can buy new refrigerator. Since then; he has stopped responding to my voice mail and messages. I messaged him to pick up his parts since he warranties his work and parts for 90 days and he tried for almost a month to fix original error code without success, it was time for me to buy new refrigerator.He owes me refund of $989.95 for failure to repair original error code and associated cooling problem.Initial Complaint

Incomplete repair job- H.E. Appliances was contacted to repair a Bosch range.The first service call was on Oct 3, 2022. A part was needed. The repairman said he would order the part, it would come from Atlanta by Amazon, and it would arrive within a few days. The part came but the repairman did not return or call and was difficult to reach. Texts were sent to his phone on 10/30, 11/11, 11/14. The repairman returned on 11/18 and did some work but the job was not completed. He was paid $350.78 by Mastercard. The next day, Mastercard informed us that our credit card had been compromised, they were shutting down that account, and they were issuing us a new card. *We made several unsuccessful attempts to contact H.E. Appliance. After the holidays had passed without the repair completion, we called a different repair company and the work was completed by them the following day, December 27, 2022. In January, my wife began a series of phone calls to 2 different numbers for H.E. The numbers are ************** and **************. She spoke to ******* on January 27, 2023. He agreed that a refund was deserved. and said he would initiate the process. My wife called back on February 3, 2023. ******* said that they had tried to issue a refund but since the card used to pay was no longer active, a check would have to be issued. My wife called back on February 10, 2022. This time there was no answer at either number and a message was left at the 980 number to please return the call. As of today, February 19, no call has been returned and no refund has been received.Business Response

Sorry this is completely disassemble cleaned put back together. Another part was ordered report arrive to the customers home that customer has someone else put the part in to complete the repair we do not refund for that reason customer needs to wait for technician to return. Not have someone else put in our parts in
