Purchased a Mobile Home from *************** Homes with a Carrier A/C unit pre-installed. 16 months later discovered unit was putting water out under my floors. HVAC repair man came and inspected unit and the leak. Determined it was a Manufactuer Flaw. He said there was nothing he could do to stop the unit from pulling water off the coil and out into the floor and under unit into insulation. Advised me to call *************** Homes.Call resulted in learning the salesman that sold us our home no longer worked at Edgewood. Was told if it was over a year it was "out of their hands". Said I should call the heat pump installation contractor. That they may honor their work. Called those people and was told they too would not help but that there was not a recall on the Carrier unit in our home but there was a "parts bulletin" which is a step below a recall. He said that unit has been known to leak water into the floors. Advised me to call Carrier and see what they would do for me. Carrier took my info and the Model and Serial number. **** said my unit was a few months out of warranty. Said there was a part warranty recall on the unit but would be my(the homeowners) problem. A known flaw ruining people's floors in their homes, and yet not standing behind their defective product. MODEL #FED003610, Serial #**********.
