We found a 2012 Mini -JCW coupe online through Anchor Auto Dealership **** **. Spoke to the salesman, *********************, and put a deposit down on it to hold the car. We were informed the vehicle was perfect mechanical condition. We were informed there was a 30 day drivetrain warranty from the dealership. The actual sale occurred on 3/28/2023. We arranged shipment the vehicle arrived on 4/4/2023. When my husband drove the car it made a lot of klunking engine noises, it was difficult to switch gears, a manual transmission. My husband attempted to make an appt with our trusted auto mechanic, but was booked for several weeks. On 4/18/2023, my husband drove the car locally. The car stalled out and he was unable to start it or to utilize jumper cables to start the car. We had it towed to ***********************. Well initially we were told the timing chain cover deteriorated, but the timing chain was ok, needed a new battery, also the crank/cam shaft wouldnt turn, full flow gaskets were leaking oil. Upon further inspection Mini told us the fly wheel was loose, some fly wheel bolts were broken and damaged the fly wheel causing damage to the crank shaft and clutch. Eventually on closer inspection we were told the engine requires replacement along with the clutch. The grand total at this point is approximately $23,000 of damage. It took several days for *********************** ** to determine the entire picture of damage the car was suffering from and the entire cost. I contacted Anchor Auto Outlet Dealership both the salesman ********************* and the dealership itself on 4/24/2023, before the 30 days were up. I heard nothing until 4/26/2023, the salesperson *** only said he would speak to his manager, no other contact thus far from *** nor the dealership itself. I sent another email earlier today, requesting a response/decision about this vehicle. I continue to hear nothing. This is unbelievable. We are now required to pay a car loan, but have no car. ***********************
