    I was wrongfully and illegally towed by One Direct towing. Per our neighborhood parking and HOA regulations, I was following all rules when the incident occurred. 9PM is the cutoff for parking on our street. The incident occurred when I was in the middle of moving my *****, exited the vehicle (now parked at the entrance to my driveway on the street) to rearrange my ******* in my driveway. When I was about to turn off my ******* to go back to my ***** to repark in my driveway, the tow truck was backing up to tow my ***** before 9PM. I asked him to please stop what he was doing, but he would not stop backing up. I begged him to stop and inform him that I was outside with my vehicle and ready to move my ***** back into my driveway in that moment. He would not listen to me, and exited the car to take photos of the *****. I am in those photos, still begging him to stop towing my *****. It is disgusting that I can't move my vehicle for two minutes, and get towed instead. I was told to pay a fee of $120 to the driver in cash immediately for him to drop my car, but since I wasn't presented with an invoice how was I to believe this was a legitimate exchange. He then left with my vehicle. I called the tow company as the driver was leaving my neighborhood, hoping the driver could turn around and return my car to me. This call took place at 9PM, with time stamps to prove it. This means that the towing took place before 9PM, which doesn't coincide with the parking regulations in the neighborhood. The towing company told me that there was nothing they could do. The photos that were taken are claimed to show a time stamp of 9:01PM and that the towing company was in the right. This is not correct, since my phone call took place after the photos were taken. I did go to retrieve my ***** on 6/27/25, and paid the company $200 when I picked up my car. When I picked up my vehicle they were not able to provide me with the photos that were claimed to have been taken at 9:01PM.
