    I am writing this due to a health occurrence with ************************** for ** to not be able to go on the Great Western Adventure Tour. He was in the hospital with chest pains, not knowing what to be done. We did not feel he should be that far away from home. I realize a company has Policies, but this was out of our control and this is a human life. We did not know if we would receive any money back, but we have not been told Yes or No. This is not a way to do someone after such an occurrence. This was not done on purpose. When I called the man to cancel, he said he would talk with Mr. ********************** about the money. Thats the last we know. $4700.00 is a lot of money to lose especially when he had NO control of his health.

    This is a reply to your letter dated June 16, 2023 regarding the above customer review from *******************************We did a Charter Motorcoach Trip for *********************** of ***********, ** to ************************* from June 9 of this year. Mr. *************************** was the gentleman that requested that ************** arrange the tour for primarily his family and friends. ***************** and her husband were a part of this group. ************** contacted our office and requested that Toney Tours make the arrangements regarding transportation, hotel accommodations, attractions, included meals and sightseeing for this tour. We did this and put it together as a package tour for the group.This group had a meeting in *********** earlier concerning this trip Mr. and ***************** attended this meeting. ************** presented the tour package to the group and highly recommended that the people planning to go on the trip take out travel insurance due to the cost of the tour. The Hensons evidently decided not to purchase insurance.App. 2 days before the trip, ************** notified our office that Mr. * ***************** would not be able to go on the trip. We had secured a charter motorcoach from STI, LLC bus company for the trip, ********** accommodations and attraction reservations and provided ************** with meal expense money for the included meals on the trip. Approximately 3 to 4 days into the trip, I received a text message from ***************** stating that they had paid a lot of money ($470.00 for both) and this was not their fault that they could not go on the tour. She (in essence) was asking for their money back. I replied by text, that we would not be able to do anything until the completion of the trip (on June 18) to see what amount would be refundable. Some bus companies, hotels. Attractions, etc. have a no refund policy if it is a last minute cancellation, irregardless of the reason. I told her that we would handle this through ************** when the group returned and we had seen what part would be refundable. I assured her that they would not lose all their money by any means. She evidently contacted your office with the Customer Review well before the trip returned. This is evident since your letter to me is dated June 16 and the trip did not return until June 18.I spoke to ************** (the group leader) today and he is going to forward his receipts from the trip to me in the next few days. At that time, our office will determine what was refunded to us and we will immediately refund that to Mr. * ******************* am certainly sorry for Mr. ******* health situation and hope and pray that he has a full and speedy recovery. Toney Tours has been in business since **** and we have never willfully withheld anyones money for any reason if the refund was due them and certainly will not do so in this case.Thank you for your letter to our company regarding this matter. If you have any questions, etc, regarding this, please feel free to contact our office.
