Nov. 11, 2023: I purchased a ****** 2011 Forester from Asheville ***** I met with *************************** and told him I wanted a service contract that covers seals and gaskets in case of oil leaks or oil burning. ******* told me the contract I purchased covered seals and gaskets, heating, and air conditioning. This was deceptive because the contract he prepared and I purchased did not cover those items. December 8, 2024: After 162 miles, I took my vehicle to *******************. ****** ******s technician found the camshaft carriers [were] leaking oil. The service manager said my service contract did not cover repairs for seals, estimated at $3230.36. He said Asheville **** should never have sold me the ****** with that serious engine problem. Dec. 9, 2024: I contacted Sales Manager *********************. I met with him and said I wanted my service contract updated to include what ******* told me. ***** said he would look at office videos of my meeting with *******, but he did not. ***** told me to bring the car to Asheville **** for repairs because I bought it from them. He looked at my service contract and told me it covered gaskets and seals. ***** told me ****s service department would repair seals and gaskets through my service contract. December 12, 2023: Asheville ****s service department said my engine didn't t have any leaks. Jan. 6, 2024: I broke my collarbone and didnt drive for 4 months. June 17, 2024: I checked my oil after only ***** miles. It was almost empty. Therefore, Asheville **** had not resolved the engine problem. June 17, 2024: I called Asheville ****s service department. The woman who answered said they do not work on ******s. June 19, 2024: I sent a detailed email and service records to Asheville ****s General Manager *************************. I requested he review the office videos to see that his sales and finance teams deceived me and made multiple false promises. He did not respond to my request to discuss a resolution.
