My wife and I went in to purchase a 850 sidekick ATV and spoke with ***************************** (salesman) who quoted us a price of $18,478. My wife filled out the required paperwork and we were told by ****** that he would sent the documents that needed to be signed via email and we were good to go. ****** called a little while latter asking us to call him, which we did, and he said that he had made a mistake, the price was $19,723 plus $349 delivery and doc fee plus $7 UCC filing fee which increased the price to $20,072. I submitted and email to the store manager, *****************, stating we were quoted a price and that they should honor the price. ************** said that talk on the lot is just talk and that a verbal price, even though we went into the sales office and discussed the financing, was not a binding agreement. Its only binding if its written. I told him ******************** wrote the price down for us before we left. ************** told me they would honor the $18,478 price but would remove the accessories (canopy and windshield). I told him they quoted a price therefore they needed to honor that price and he said they couldnt do it. This information is in an email correspondence between the two of us if needed.

We appreciate ************** sharing his feedback.  *** and his wife did in fact visit our store and spent time with ****** looking at a few different UTV options on the lot.  The ******* decided that the Sidekick would be the best option for their needs and asked about pricing.  ****** who has less than a months experience working in the sales department and business, relied on a quick reference price sheet that was provided to him to get the ******* a quick quote.  The quote sheet provides pricing on base models without accessories that *** be installed on a unit for display purposes.  It is our store policy to provide written quotes to avoid any confusion on what is included on unit purchases either while the customer waits or later via email.  After *** and his wife left, ****** came to me and wanted to clarify the setup on the machine before sending the written proposal.  I discussed the need to include the cost of the windshield as well as canopy which would add an additional $1245 to the purchase price if they were interested in those options.  ****** proceeded to call and speak with *** (***'s spouse) to let her know of this and find out if she was interested.  She understood the difference but wanted to share the information with *******

Shortly after ******'s follow up phone call, we received an email from *** stating that we had changed the price by ($2500-$3000)  and we needed to figure out a way to stick to the $18,478 price.  This was inaccurate as the price difference was $1245.  I attempted to clarify the information with *** but he was not understanding.  We'd be happy to find some common ground if *** and *** are interested but are unable to give away accessories that were shown for display purposed and not quoted.

Please feel free to contact me if necessary.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to me but thats fine. Have been a returning customer it seems ******************************************* does not value their customer. If ******* was so new, there should have been someone who worked closely with him during the visit and the presale, so in my opinion its just an excuse. I do not accept excuses but I do not see that ****** Tractor is willing to negotiate anything other than the cost of removing items from what we were told was included in the price therefor they have lost a customer and I will not recommend them to anyone. Thank you for you effort.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************
