We were looking to purchase a used boat and thought we found a diamond in the rough at Pierce RV in ******** on 3/22/2024.After it was all said and done we discovered the boat needed more repairs then we could afford and the trailer brakes were inoperable in their current state. Upon closer examination I found the brake reservoir was empty and dry. Long story short, we decided not to purchase the boat and asked for a refund. In trying to work out the details, ********************* the general manager told us we had to pay the cost of putting the brake system in working order. Our discovery most probably saved lives had this boat and trailer been towed anywhere. ***** stated that if the boat and trailer were sold at auction, it would go out the door as it was, no brakes.***** explained that the sale was as is. Regardless of the safety issue of the boat and trailer. ********************* agreed to refund our purchase price of $5000.00. This is when ********************* states he incurred expenses for work done on the boat and trailer. We were charged for labor, $750.00 for work done to the trailer for something that would haft to be done anyway in order to transport the boat whither purchased by us or anyone else. He also included a fee for work his office personnel supposedly performed. I know the next guy should have open eyes when looking at a boat at Pierce RV.Our sales representative ***** was great to us. He gets 5 stars for his effort even though he stated we would get a full refund.As of today 4/06/24 we have not recieved our refund as promised by ********************* and he has not answered any of my phone calls. In my opinion he is committing Elder abuse as I am a senior citizen. Pierce RV is still advertising this boat as available except now they are listing the boat as a project boat in need of a new home.
