????LONG POST ALERT?????? ????I AM LIVID???? Metro Ford and their “salesmen” have really blew my mind these past 2 months. I trusted them because I purchased my fusion there in 2014 and because the salesman was a childhood friend that I felt would take great care of me. ( I’m sure y’all saw the pictures so y’all know) I was sold a 2008 Ford Explorer with a bad transmission. I not only took the truck back the next day and before finalizing the deal, letting my salesman know it was something wrong with it and i felt it didn’t ride good. He (my salesman) took it back to the “head mechanic” (as he called him) and let him check it out. Because I told him “ I don’t want to and I’m not finalizing ANYTHING with the truck having a problems .” He (my salesman) ASSURED me that the “head mechanic” knew everything about it & HEtold me the mechanic said it was just a HARD SHIFT & that the truck should last up to 5 years the way it was. So I TRUSTED HIM, not just as my salesman but as my good long time friend, **** near family would look out for me.???Note, I know several ppl who sale cars, but because I knew him, trusted him with my business & most importantly I wanted to “support my fam” I went to him. I got the truck July 14th, 2021 brought the truck back July 15 for them to look at it ( the hard shift story). I returned the truck that Monday after *******’s funeral,Because the night before ( Augusta 6th) it got stuck on a hill and while leaving her funeral I was stuck on a busy hwy doing 40mph because the transmission slipped and I couldn’t go any faster. After 2 week of having the truck I noticed I couldn’t drive long distances without the check engine light coming on so I took it to the service department. They kept the truck for 2 another weeks, because they were backed up ( that was before even looking at it) ???Remind yall, all of this was within my 30days and how every many thousand miles. I didn’t even have 200 miles on it because I was scared to drive it anywhere. So I made my August 14th payment with hopes that while they had it, it was getting worked out. So it is now September 2nd and the truck is still there. I’ve been told there’s nothing they can do, my salesman told me verbatim “I’ll tell you how that conversation will go, they will say they can take the money out of my check to fix your truck and they pay half on the transmission.” ???Note im paying a second note on a vehicle that I only had for every bit of 2 to 3 weeks. Im only paying on it because I’m trying to fix my credit and I don’t want any damage to the progress I’ve made. But I’m still car less. I’m not being accommodated for any of this. Nothing has been offered to make this right! No rental, no loan car, no follow up call, no plan…hell NOTHING! Metro and it’s guys mainly saw that I needed a car (not wanted, but needed) and basically ******* me over. They used that to their advantage, they didn’t care what they put me in and don’t hold their ppl accountable for their actions. They practically took my hard earned money and basically saying **** ** now, it’s not their problem! I feel used, robbed and cheated. It hurts even worst because I really trusted y’all! I’m not a problematic person AT ALL but as a person that’s trying my best to better my current situation and trying to get back on my feet, I DONT HAVE MONEY TO JUST BE GIVING AWAY! I **** sure wasn’t looking for more problems. I was offered a “trade out” but I had to come up with another down payment. YALL THIS CANT BE LIFE… this can’t be how Metro is doing their clientele. This can’t be how this ends for me. I’m in more debt with this purchase than I was before it. I’m honestly lost for words. I don’t normally do stuff like this but I mean what am I suppose to do? I can’t even take the phlebotomist jobs I’ve applied for because I need a vehicle.
