    I hired Steves Pro-Wash last August 2024 to clean my back deck and stain it. The color I picked wasnt a stain at all but looked like paint. Wasnt happy about that but could live with it. He also spray painted it on which I didnt know he was going to do til I saw him doing it. Got the paint everywhere but most upsetting was on some expensive painted metal artwork up high on wall. He wanted to clean off with cleaner that would have ruined the paint on metal artwork so I told him no. Gave me a nominal discount I had to insist on. 4 months later the paint started coming up and has gotten worse. He has refused to fix the problem saying he only warranties for 90 days. He does not care at all about customer satisfaction.

    This customer was a problem customer from the beginning and extremely picky about things that were out of our control and rude. Please note the fact that she said she wasnt happy with the stain that she picked out which has nothing to do with her being unhappy with the job performed. The process was thoroughly explained to the customer and she was told what to expect. Per our terms and conditions we recommend removing all items from the work area prior to the work being performed. Although shes making it sound like we went crazy and just spray painted everything in sight, the deck was painted in a way that ensured an even coat and as you can see from the attached picture, plastic was put up to protect the brick. We attempted to reconcile getting a small amount of paint on her metal artwork and the customer accepted a discount in lieu of cleaning it. 

    This job was completed in August of 2024 and the customer is complaining 10 months later because the paint is now chipping (which we have no control over and has nothing to do with the job that was done since we dont control the environment her deck is in) and shes decided to put her house up for sale and is attempting to hold our business hostage to get free labor and a fresh coat of paint out of this. As this job was done 10 months ago, the paint didnt peel within 90 days, the customer accepted a discount for the accidental small amount of paint on her outdoor artwork, and no attempt to contact our business was made between then and now, no resolution will be made to the customer.

    I am rejecting this response because this business is giving an unfair characterization of me. I was only a "problem" customer after I saw the quality of work he performed and the mess he made. I would never have hired him if I had known he only warranties his work for 90 days. He told me a year if I remember right. Who would pay over $500 for an outdoor deck stain with that limited warranty? I want other people aware of this. Thank you very much.
