      Skyhawke Technologies sent me a renewal notice for an annual subscription for a rangefinder device they no longer supported - specifically for USB connectivity. They took my payment for this renewal knowing that this service was no longer supported instead of declining renewal because of this. When I contacted customer support they told me that there are no refunds on renewals even though this subscription is useless to me. Overseas customer support then sent me a link to upgrade rangefinder @ $179 so that my renewal could work. So have to spend $200 to get something to work. Sad part is USB device work perfectly fine for years and would still continue to work if not for this.

      This company is not interested customer service. Sent my 550 in for charging socket repair. Paid to have it done. Didn't work when I got it back. When I contacted Sky Golf to get it fixed all they wanted to do was sell me a refurbed device. As device was out of warranty took it to a local Phoenix company that does surface mount repair. They opened it up and said all of the contacts from the socket to the board were broken and had never been repaired. They soldered the connections and it works fine. In my opinion if the company doesn't change their policies they will be out of business. There are other devices in the market. I like the device, it's their service that is not good.

      While reviewing this account, it appears that the SkyCaddie sent in for repair in May 2022 was for a SX500, not a SX550. Once our repair facility repaired the port, it is assumed that it worked properly for the next 7 months as the customer called to report a failure in December 2022. During those 7 months, anytime a charger is inserted the wrong way it is possible that the ports can be damaged again. This would not be a manufacture defect and would be considered physical damage made by the consumer. If it was something that was sent in for repair and received back in May 2022 and didn't function properly, we would have replaced it at no charge. Anytime a device is repaired, it goes through thorough testing at our repair facility, and we have never experienced an issue where even one device was received back not repaired. Physical damage is not considered a warranty issue. We suggest carefully inserting the charger into the port so that further damage isn't done and if you would like to upgrade or replace the device at any time, we do have many discounts for current members and would be happy to get one in your hands at a great price.
