      Junk is a good description.
      The retailer went out of business and the mechanical mechanism failed.
      I went online and filled out their warranty request. twice. Suppled all the information and they never got back to me.
      If this is American Made, I am disappointed that this no better than Made in China.
      Don't buy this product. It failed in less than one year and no customer service.

      This furniture can only be described as JUNK. Within a little over a year on the two recliners that we bought you can see where your elbows sit on the arms... the padding has decreased to nothing. They are starting to sit crooked and the ****** that we bought it from says that it's covered under warranty to return to the company to have it repaired but since the purchase is over one year the buyer is responsible for shipping them to the company and the labor cost of repairs???? That's an amazing warranty isn't it. I wouldn't even give them a half of star!!

      I expect a well made piece of furniture to last longer than 5 years. On June 2, 2019, we purchased an Southern Motion **** automatic recliner from a local retail furniture store. It is an attractive style recliner, and not bulky like most recliners. There were numerous fabrics to choose from for covering the chair which was also a selling point. We paid around $900 for the chair. Last week, the chair seat collapsed on the right side of the cushion. When reclining the chair, there was a grinding noise and two small pieces or spools of wood chipped off from under the chair. We tipped the chair upside down and the vertical metal spring / coil on the right side on the bottom of the seat has "popped out" and is not securely attached like the other coils at the bottom of the seat. When we sit in the chair, the cushion sinks in on the right side and it's very uncomfortable. I am very disappointed. The bottom appears to have a solid wood frame. The fabric wears extremely well and is not worn out at all. 5 years seems too short of a time for the life of an expensive chair. I will not purchase again furniture by Southern Motion ****

      I bought two leather recliners. They are extremely uncomfortable. I have never had any furniture that are so uncomfortable. My wife and I cannot stand to sit in the chairs. We paid over $3000 for junk. Do not buy anything from this company.

      I love my reclining furniture. This brand still uses hardwood and steel in their frames. Made in the USA too! I paid a little bit more than average but feel I got what I paid for. I’ve had it for a little over a year now and it is still in great shape. I recommend Southern Motion to all of my friends and family!

      Bought a Southern Motion Style 757-78P “Safe Bet” leather reclining loveseat with power/console on 3/11/22. Within a few months one side began to break down in the seat. We contacted the retailer who agreed to replace it with a new loveseat. Now the replacement has begun breaking down too. It’s like the foam cushioning has shifted and/or compacted down in the seat and console area. Very uncomfortable! We bought Southern Motion based on their previous reputation for quality workmanship but that’s apparently gone now.

      I have a Southern Motion recliner, and have been very happy with it! I was hesitant to purchased based on other reviews, but I'm glad I did. I have had it for 12 months now and it's not showing wear at all!

      I agree with the rest of these reviews. Paid over $5,000 for a couch, loveseat, and recliner. Terribly uncomfortable as the head pillow tilts your neck forward. Arm rests was pullling apart and one of the sides had a broken support. Finally got the warranty company to repair but it's like jumping through hoops to get anything done through them. I just hope I can sell it soon so we can start over.

      The warranty claim service is always unavailable. It's only possible to file a warranty claim online but the site doesn't accept the required uploaded copies of the receipt. It simply grays them out as an acceptable upload. So you can't even file a warranty claim. I called the 800 number and they said it will take 72 hours before someone replies to an online warranty claim ut its been a full week and no response. This company promises warranty claims but make no mistake, there isn't any at all.

      Please stay away from this furniture. I spent decent money thinking I was getting good quality furniture, and in less than a month time, you could clearly see wear in the leather and the cushioning. The store that I purchased it from did send someone out to look at it and write a report and that’s been two weeks ago and still waiting to hear from Southern motion. In the meantime, it is just wearing more every day it’s horrible. So basically don’t expect any compensation in return for poor quality because apparently that’s not happening. The furniture store will not do it. They are waiting to hear from Southern motion. I want to get rid of the furniture, but until something is settled I can’t even do that. There is absolutely no way this furniture will last even a year. I think everyone should get together and file a suit against this company apparently from the reviews I am not the only one that has had this issue and still they are in business.
