Consumers have alerted BBB to a boat selling scheme on Craigslist. According information from several consumers they found a 2016 Lund 1775 Impact boat for sale on Craigslist. The consumers contacted the seller of the boat and made arrangements for purchase. The consumers were directed to wire transfer the purchase price of the boat to a Chase Bank location in Texas. After receiving verification of the wire transfer, the consumers were told they would be receiving shipment of their boat from South Land Trucking, LLC located Ocean Springs, MS. According to information provided by the consumers, the seller is from Olive Branch, MS. The boat was never delivered and the consumers cannot get in contact with the seller. The boat continues to be posted for sale on Craigslist.
Consumers have also contacted BBB in regards to automobile sales and RV sales that have not been delivered once payment has been made.
BBB has verified that South Land Trucking, LLC went out of business 12/31/2019 and is not involved with this scheme.
