I made a transaction at this atm for $160. As the money came out the last $20 bill I saw came out slower than the rest. *** never had an issue with an atm so didnt think much of it. The atm only dispensed $120. I was missing $40. The atm states to take it up with your bank. So I did. I also called the atm company to let them know what happened. When my back requested a charge back for the $40 this company denied it. I then called the atm company saying I want my stolen $40 back. They are now opening a second investigation. They opened one when I alerted them what happened. Its almost been a month now and Im still missing my $40. I have submitted the image showing the receipt from the atm to prove I made the transaction there. They took my $40 and I want it back.

    Hello,

Triton Systems is the manufacturer of our ***s.  We sell our ***s through a distribution network, or Independent *** Deployers (***s).  These ***s are the companies that resell our ***s to retail locations, negotiate contracts, and provide the back end processing services for the ***s (transaction routing through the *** networks to card issuing banks for "approval/denial" of transactions.  The ***s and the merchants are the ones who set the surcharge at the ***, load the cash, maintain, etc.  Triton does not participate in the transactional revenue stream.  ********** when a requested dispense amount is not fully dispensed, it is due to the *** running out of cash.  At that point the *** will perform a reversal through the *** networks to notify all parties that the transaction was not completed and to adjust the dispense amount on the cardholders account.  I'm not saying that is necessarily what happened here, because if the *** is unable to make that connection after the transaction to perform the reversal, it may not get logged correctly.  In this situation, the cardholder did the right thing by calling the number on the terminal to report the issue, and to follow up with their financial institution as well.

Another possible issue could have been with a $20 bill getting jammed in the feed channel and was unable to fully dispense.  This would also be logged in the journal on the ***, and the *** would be able to make this determination.

It would be helpful to see the actual receipt that was generated for the cardholder at the ***.  That will generally have more information regarding the transaction providing clues to what might have happened.

The submitted dispute #******** also states for the cardholder to check their email for more information regarding the denied dispute.  Seeing this email from the ***/FI might also be useful in resolving this situation.

Based on the photos the cardholder submitted, I believe I know who the *** is, and I have reached out to them on 05/20/2024 in an effort to get more details on the denial.  Once I can get some additional details from the *** (assuming they are the right one), I will be happy to provide additional details for the cardholder so long as I know where/how I can provide updates.

    Kind regards,
