Snake oil salesmen. The Spartan Mosquito Eradicator and the Spartan Mosquito Pro Tech do not attract mosquitoes because the tubes never produce enough carbon dioxide to attract them. And if the tubes can't even attract mosquitoes, they certainly won't be able to kill the tens of thousands of mosquitoes that lurk in a typical back yard. It's hilarious that company insists "mosquitoes will gather" yet has zero photographs and videos on its website and Facebook page of mosquitoes flying around the tubes when deployed outside. They simply made it up and people believed it. And when customers realize the tubes don't work, company has the nerve to tell them that directions weren't followed (part of the "If you'll email our customer service team we can figure out what went wrong and get you all fixed up" routine). Also absent from Spartan Mosquito's website and Facebook page is the fact that company is paying $3.6 million to settle a class-action lawsuit for false advertising. I will not be at all surprised if the FTC or EPA charge ****** ****** and ***** ****** (the "inventors") with providing false or misleading efficacy data to government agencies, a crime that can carry jail time.
