Olshan Foundation promised "we will make it right" on multiple occasions. But, my foundation was never made "right." The work commenced on 11/24/2020, however, they worked for 2.5 days but couldn't complete the job. On 12/14/2020, they came back to work again, but doors were still out of alignment--one much worse than before! The next contact I had was on 12/15/2020 wherein I received a request to approve final payment! When I declined, I received a call asking about "issues." I explained that the job was not completed and was not "made right." On 12/21/2020, an engineer came to inspect/take measurements to compare "before and after." He said he would send me a copy but never received it. I asked if they were going to "make it right" as promised, and he said, "Yes we'll get these doors working again." On 1/6/2021, a date was set for a return but I never heard back! On 1/27/2021, I called to inquire when someone would come back and "make it right." On 2/5/2021, a new crew came to "inspect" and take measurements again. The crew performed some very minor adjustments but could not get it "right." The ******* said that there were still several adjustments needed throughout half the house and said, "We don't have the materials needed and will need to come back." After several calls/contacts, it wasn't until 4/8/2021 that someone called me to schedule them to come back! They finally arrived at 2:40pm on 4/8/2021 but weren't able to do much. On 3/31/2022, an engineer came to conduct a "90-day follow-up" (almost a full YEAR later).NOTE: ***** only offered a 1-year warranty on their work, yet they waited almost a year to "follow-up!" The engineer wanted to give time for "climate change" to see if improved. On 6/23/2022, he came back but measurements didn't change "enough" and requested another 90-day follow-up.Never heard back!On 3/4/2023 (almost another YEAR later), no change/still not "right"Now their 1-year warranty has expired! DO NOT Recommend this company!!!

After receiving this message, we reached out to ******************** and scheduled another inspection with one of our techniicans. Since the previous inspection in April, 2022 , the only correspondence was a missed  text message to my cell phone about a follow up that we talked about but never set, but he never called me or our office with any questions or concerns.

We look forward to evaluating his concerns this week.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and the business is making an effort to resolve my issue.  They are going to schedule work to be done and the engineer said he "wants to make me happy."

So far, I am satisfied with their response.  We will see if they come through on their word.

      Regards,

      ***********************

Around November 7th 2023 a representative (***** ***) came to my home to resurvey the previous work that had been done. They have yet come back to redo the work. They have scheduled me 3-4 different times and at last minute refuse to come to repair their previous work. As of Feb 9 2024 they were to come and once again refused to show up. Now saying it's an additional fee to return to redo previous work that has a lifetime warranty. I'm having to miss work to sit at home all day for them to call at the appointment time to say they not coming.

Ms. *****'s job has been completed satisfactorily. We certainly understand and agree that schedule changes can be frustrating, but I hope she understands that we can't start working on a home without finishing the previous one, which happened to take a few extra hours to backfill and cleanup. We communicated with her as soon as we found out we were running a little behind schedule and got to her the next business day.

My husband contracted Olshan to level the pool deck on our backyard pool in June 2022. The company quoted my husband $8700 and assured us that the leveling could be done, and for this amount of money, we expected perfection. When the contractors came to do the work on June 11, 2022, the work was poor and incomplete. In fact, the pool deck was more lopsided than it was before Olshan did the work. We had to contact the sales rep and general manager to return to correct this. We also paid Olshan half of the total quoted ($4350.00) in good faith. The sales rep and general manager returned twice to measure the pool deck, admitted that it was not level (it is visible to the eye), and injected more foam to level the pool deck. Ultimately however, Olshan could not deliver on leveling the pool deck. The general manager stated to my husband after the work was done that the pool deck could never be leveled due to the higher elevation of the lot in the backyard. In an effort to make things right, the company asked us to send a letter stating what we felt was fair payment to compensate us for their inability to fully level the deck and failure to meet our deadline; however they declined our offer with no renegotiation or counter offer- only demand for full payment. We never received anything in the mail from the company regarding this until today- almost one year later, now threatening a lien on our home for nonpayment. We are requesting that Olshan either complete the work and level our pool deck as contracted, or accept the 50% we have already paid them as final payment since the work was incomplete, and the pool deck is not level as contracted to be corrected.

      RE:      ******* ******             *** ******** ****** *** ******** ** *****

      Dear Ms. *******:

We are in receipt of your letter dated August 16, 2023, regarding the above referenced matter.

Mr. ****** contracted with Olshan Foundation Repair of Jackson, LLC on June 28,2022 to obtain stabilization to his pool deck.  Per our contract, we installed over 117 cubic feet of polyurethane.  This came with a one-year warranty at the cost of $8,790.00.  Contract attached for your review.  The ******’s were not happy with the initial results and stopped payment on the second check they had presented to us.  We returned to the ******’s and installed additional polyurethane at no charge.

We value our customers and want to work towards a solution concerning their home.  Does your office offer Dispute Resolution services?  We would be interested in mediation if at all possible.

      Sincerely,

      **** ********

After at least 5 instances of water coming up through the foundation into our dining room during a heavy rain, I contacted Olshan Foundation of Jackson MS for an estimate on a repair. On 12/29/22 ******* *****, a certified structural technician with Olshan came to our home for a consultation. Upon finishing his evaluation he gave me a proposal for the repair with a price of $6450.00. I told him that I would discuss it with my wife. Mr ***** also said that he was pretty sure that they would be able to use the current sump basin and pump. The following day I received a call from the office asking if I could send pictures of the sump basin and pump showing the depth and width of it, which I did. Apparently after several weeks passed the pictures of the sump basin and pump got lost in the shuffle so I resent them. A short time later I received a message saying that the intake pipe into the basin needed to be 18"-24" deep and that the basin and pump would have to be replaced. I received a new proposal with a repair plan different from the structural technician proposal costing $7,155.00. After speaking with the general manager **** ******** I decided to go ahead with the repair. The work was started the week of 1/23/23 and completed on 1/26/23. The following Sunday evening into Monday morning we had a heavy rain and water again in our dining room. I sent pictures and a video of the water intrusion to Olshan. After several calls, texts they finally sent the crew out on 2/6 and they did a water test to see if they could duplicate the problem. After spraying about a hundred gallons of water next to the house they were unable to do so. They said that they would talk to **** about what to do next but that was the last I heard from the company. I believe that they should have stuck to the original plan with the french drain next to the house and I didn't need a new sump basin and pump because the intake pipe in the new one is only 12" deep.

The crew that installed this system went back out, ran water for over an hour all around the exterior area of concern. No water entered home. They could not replicate the issue. The customer text after a rain and reported no water but later in the following morning upon waking, water had pooled in home again. At this point, there is no indication that the water is coming form outside where we installed drainage. Per customer, the previous two owners of this property had the same issue and was unable to determine where water was entering as well. I will schedule an appointment with my General Manager, **** ********, to go out and observe the issue to see what else can be done at this point.
