    Had my custom cabinets damaged during installation, tile backsplash cracked during installation, sink cuts for apron sink were so bad even the owner agreed he was embarrassed, chipped pieces installed in my shower knowing they were chipped. Spoke with owner and he personally came out to replace but then refused to finish agreed job and refused to give me the remainder of my quartz/granite purchased. It's been over 60 days and job is still incomplete and still refuse to give materials we paid for to us!

    It is unfortunate we were unable to please Mrs. M****** at any point during our many trips to her home. We received a standard 50% deposit of $8,000.00, cost of material was $8,832.00.

    All materials were fabricated and installed, and all requested repairs and replacements were completed.

    We purchased a new slab for $2,083.00, at no cost to Mrs. M******, in order to refabricate and install a new top around her apron sink.

    A completely separate job, not included in original quote or deposit, for a custom wood bar top in man cave was discussed, however after the difficulties of pleasing Mrs. M****** we informed her that we are a stone fabricator and did not feel comfortable doing the custom wood top.

    After 90 days of not receiving final payment of $7,809.80, we offered a settlement of $5,000.00.

    No payment to date has been received. We feel we have been more than fair and patient in hopes of avoiding legal action.

    We were told a price and only agreed to such price based on this company doing both jobs. We had a lower quote from another company and was promised by *** that they would do both jobs. So basically they lied to us to get our money at a higher rate, only to back out of the second job as promised. If *** employees had not made bad cuts or damaged materials during first installation, there would not have been a back and forth. How do you blame or back out of a job based on the mishap of your own employees. The owner of the company also contacted an individual at my husbands work and expressed he was not charging us for the remainder of the balance because of the mistakes but then waits 90 days to send an invoice we have NEVER seen before? We have photo evidence of damages done and installation mistakes if needed. Bottomline, Down Home Stone did not finish their job!
