I hired Climbing High Tree Service to remove a dead pine tree from my front yard. On June 5th, 2025, they showed up and did an excellent job cutting the tree down. They told me they would return that weekend to haul off the logs. That weekend came and went, no one showed up.
I called and got no answer, only texts. *****, the owner, told me two of their trucks were down and assured me I was “first on the list.” Another week passed. No call. No show. I tried reaching out again, calls went unanswered, and texts were eventually ignored altogether.
It’s now June 29th. The logs are still in my yard. The grass beneath them is likely dead, and the mess remains. I feel abandoned and misled. I recently read a similar complaint on the BBB website about this same company, now I know how that customer felt. I too am being ghosted.
As far as I’m concerned, this is a breach of contract. I paid $900 up front, with the remaining $400 due next month, an agreement confirmed by text. The proposal included hauling away at least one load, which still hasn’t happened. I have screenshots of all our communications, photos, and videos documenting the job.
I am 70 years old and disabled. I feel taken advantage of. I’ve tried to give the company every opportunity to make this right, and they’ve chosen silence.

Initially, I had this company do some work for me in June. They did a terrific job so I had them do some additional work for me again in mid July. As they were trimming some branches away from the roof, they kick the security light off of a pole. I walked outside and asked about it, and was told they planned on repairing it. After further inspection I placed my hand on the pole and found it had been completely broken a few inches under the dirt, and it fell over. ****** and her husband, the owners said that they needed to come back the following day because the blade on their saw had broke and they would replace the light and pole the following day. I offered to purchase the materials since they were old. The following came and went, they never showed. I text and asked if they had forgotten about finishing the job. I was told they would come the following day. After three days, I had to hire a contractor and pay to have the pole and light replaced/repaired. I contacted Climbing Hight Tree again to ask them to finish the job that I had paid them in full to do. At that time I told them that I had already had the light repaired. I never asked them for any money or refund for the property damage or repairs.
They asked me for the receipt so I sent them pictures of the contractor I hired, the repaired security light and pole and receipt for the new security light.
They never responded and never returned to finish the job that they were paid in full to do. Fly by night, dishonest company with no customer service or integrity. if they damage some thing you’ll end up paying for it, and you’ll be lucky if they finish the work, you pay them to do. Find someone else to do your tree work, you’ll be happy you did!
