The team stained our new patio area. It was not properly taped off before they started. Lots of stained got onto places it shouldnt have been. It could have been wiped off at the time, but was allowed to dry on metal and screened surfaces. Then to clean it up, they used metal scraper and took the metal finish off of the roof and trim. We agreed on two coats of semi solid stain. They put on 4+ coats of satin because they assumed I would like it better. All of this was done while we were at work. I got several requests for more stain because they ran out. If they would have done the two coats that we agreed on, there would have been no need for more. They used masking tape instead of painters tape. It took the black finish off our our brand new cabinet pulls. They also walked on stain that hadnt dried and left black shoe marks. Many spots that were never even stained that I kept pointing out to the crew when I got home. I was asked to forward them more money so their payroll could be met. They also had many times where they wouldnt come out or return messages for days. Many excuses from them on the budgeting of the money I gave them and why they needed more. A three week project became three months. They discounted about $300 out of a $3,200 project because we were understanding. I finally asked them to not come back. We spent a lot of money on our patio and were disappointed with the whole staining part of the project. Our patio construction company was awesome.Ozark Paint and Remodel were only hired for the staining part. We are unhappy with the quality of their work and the assumptions that they made on our project. ??
