Dear ********************* received a letter on July 17, 2025, dated from July 11, 2025, regarding a complaint from one of my clients, **** ******.  The complaint ID is ********.  The letter states that I was paid a $4,000 retainer for blueprints and after three months I failed to communicate with my client and did not return phone calls.  I had, in fact, been in contact with my client and communicated with them numerous times until I was hospitalized.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was hospitalized, for about a month, during the time in question,  and was not allowed access to my cellular phone.  Per my doctors orders I was instructed to avoid anything stressful including work, family, friends or anything that might cause anxiety, increase my blood pressure or put my health in jeopardy. I had asked my spouse to call my clients to let them know my situation but somehow Mrs. ****** was overlooked.  I may have forgotten to mention this particular client as I was on some sedatives and other medications while in the hospital.

While I was in the hospital my business phone was at my residence and was not being charged or monitored.  Simply put, this client somehow fell through the cracks and was not notified of my health issues.

Upon my release from the hospital I have been in contact with Mrs. ******* from the 17th of July to date, I explained the issue as well as letting her know the current status of the plans in question.  I hope to have the plans completed by the end of this week, July 25, or shortly thereafter, since a new survey uncovered some additional information which is causing us to have to re-design part of the project.

Your letter states my client wishes is for me to complete the job, this will be accomplished within the week or next 5-10 business days at the latest, depending on any necessary changes due to unforeseen job site conditions.

If you need any further information, please feel free to contact me on my cellular phone number listed above.

    Sincerely,
    Robert Murphy
    Architect
