On 25 September 2023 I placed an order (#*****cost $514.58) with Missouri Wind and Solar. Everything was cordial until I began to have issues with their equipment. We will be getting the other unit out asap. We are building more now as we were out and had to manufacturer more of them. To date I have been promised a replacement pump multiple times I have never received the new/replacement pump. It is now 4 December. This is not an oversight. I believe the goal of Missouri Wind and Solar is to attempt to fix the old pump and then return the repaired defective pump back to me. On the 28th of November, I submitted this complaint. MWS has not bothered to respond. I spent good money on a faulty product and they promised a new pump. My last communiqu has received zero response. On 29 November I became agitated at the continued river of empty promises and submitted a terse email to *************************. No response to date. I have been asked to return the faulty pump. It ships out tomorrow. I believe MWS is playing a variation of bait and switch. It is my belief that MWS wants to repair the old pump and ship the same (repaired) pump back to me. That is not what was promised. I have been without a useful/dependable product for some time now. In fact I explained that I had expected the new pump to arrive and planned on shipping the old one back in that packaging and box. MWS did give me s hipping free label. I live 45 minutes from a *** store so becoming frustrated at the river of apparent lies and lack of action on their part. When I did remove the old pump, MWS did not inform me that I cannot remove the device inserted into the delivery hose. It broke.MWS owes me a new pump with a new device (whatever that is), an extended warranty to cover the new pump and an apology. The **** poor customer service seems to be quite evident when MWS runs into a problem. MWS may have an A+ rating from the BBB, but you certainly cannot tell that by their actions here.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: their records are false. I have emails from ************************* stating he was shipping me a replacement unit. Not once was I informed that the old poorly functioning unit had to be returned first. MWS's assertion that I've been informed that I had to send the old unit back first is fiction. I will submit the emails to the BBB for scrutiny upon request.
Sincerely,

As with every company that sells on the internet, terms and conditions are agreed to at checkout. We don't make the customer prove that they have read that document before transacting business. It is legal document on our site and has been on our there for years. Anecdotally, I know of no company that will ship replacement goods with out at least having the goods in question returned; e.g. you can't walk in to *******, **********, Best Buy and just tell the clerk you want a replacement item and will eventually bring the intended return back to the store.
We will still honor the warranty on the item if the customer simply sends the faulty unit back in accordance with the agreed upon terms.

I am rejecting this response because: I have their word in writing. At no time was I advised differently. Imagine had ****************** stated your flexible policy up front. This is MWS gamesmanship and nothing more. Semantics. Far as I am concerned, MWS has zero integrity. Their written word is hollow. I have never had this difficulty (as stated in their inane response) with ******************* or any one else. MSW told me (again, written by their employee) one thing and demanded another. How honest is that? I won't recommend or purchase from you again.
Sincerely,

Please send some pictures of the installation and your testing to me at this email address, after that we can open a return authorization. Once we have the unit back we can determine the cause of failure and if this failure is covered under warranty.

Made an online purchase on 8/15/2022 order #24152 for some batteries and a cable accessory totaling $1856.26 with shipping and tax. The batteries were advertised as a capacity of 420ah on the listing which was the capacity I was looking to purchase, upon arrival if the package and opening the physical size and weight did not seem to match batteries I have used with the same chemistry and capacity. Upon coming across this disparity, I contacted Missouri Wind and Solar through phone and was in touch with Sam, he assured me that these batteries are as listed and really 420ah of capacity and I should test them and they will be fine as he used these himself with no issues. I then took some time and ran a number of charge and discharge cycles with the batteries that were purchased and they all came up very short of the advertised 420ah capacity. Then contacted the company again and they say these batteries were sold to them as such and should be good, I provided the test information to *** through email, He then said due to these being batteries its not feasible to accept them as a return and its hazardous shipping so I should keep them and find a use for them. I told him I have no use for these batteries as they are not of a know origin and come up very off from the spec, which may pose a dangerous condition, he still insisted that I keep them and would talk to the management about getting a credit. After that the company has not been responsive through e-mail and have not been helpful through the phone either, which seems like they chose to end all communications afterwards. After dealing with this for months and storing these I would like to get a full refund on the batteries as they were not what was advertised and I have no need for them, and the company was not willing to do a return shortly after the purchase was made.Business Response

This complaint was previously handled through an attempted chargeback through the credit card company. All of the assertions were refuted through that complaint and the complaint was resolved in our favor. These specific batteries went through an independent inspection previous to our acceptance. The results of those inspections were supplied in the original dispute confirming that the batteries were fit for purpose. Batteries are prone to degradation and damage due to factors such as physical impact, overheating, overcharging, and overdischarging. Based on those factors, the customer is responsible for checking them immediately. In light of those parameters, our terms disclose that all battery sales are final. The original purchase was on 8/15/2022. The chargeback was placed on 11/1/22. The batteries were in the customer's possession for over 60 days and, unfortunately, we have no way of knowing their treatment during that time.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I have made the first attempt on contacting the business about this issue on August 23, 2022 shortly after receiving the battery trying to work through this with the business directly. Attached is the Email correspondence with the business showing the issue was apparent on receiving the batteries and if can loose a majority of the capacity from the business shipping the batteries to my address it should not be something that is sold if they have such a short lifespan. But upon opening the box it was apparent that the business is misrepresenting the products they are selling, as on first look and feel these were obviously not batteries of the advertised capacity. I have expressed through email attached with *** that I do not want these and have no use for them well within the return period and was pushed off with they would be difficult to accept as returns and alternate purposed could be found. The company took their time dragging on with a resolution to this until the time period was over.
Sincerely,
**** *****Business Response

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!!
This is a DIY company ONLY!!!! Once they get your money and you find out the products they sold your are substandard and break after only 2 months!!
The salesMEN over there are just a good-old-boy gang stealing money from their customers. There are no technicians, you will need to hire a electrician, and if anything at all goes wrong with your system you are completely out of luck because they will do nothing for you and continue to repeat, in your face, that they have a right to steal from you because it says DIY in ther name...

The equipment that customer purchased from Missouri Wind and Solar was indicating a ground fault that needed trouble-shooting from the manufacturer. According to the customer, he contacted the manufacturer and the manufacturer indicated the ground fault needed to be investigated by the customer using a multi-meter as the most likely problem is a wire in his solar panel setup. The customer insisted that we provide this service. We discussed with the customer that not only did he not purchase any services from us, we do not provide such services and he would need to follow the manufacturer's instructions. The customer further indicated that he had been turning the charge controller off while leaving the solar panels (effectively) on. This can create an environment damaging to the charge controller. Also, with the presence of a ground fault the unit may have also been damaged. Accordingly, we are not willing to offer any refund or exchange on the unit.Initial Complaint

i purchased 2 items from them in july 2022.the first item a hybrid wind and solar control panel lasted about 2 to 3 weeks then the "main brain" mechansim went out, it was defective. i contacted them and they replaced it but i had to pay shipping charges for the replacement.last week on 09-13-2022 the second item a hot water heating element 12 volt 200 ***** with a adjustable thermostat stopped working. i un-installed it and tested it by hooking it directly to a brand new 12 volt battery and it didnt work. i contacted missori wind and solar and they stated i have to pay shipping both directions for a repalcement unit of lesser value or they would only issue a partial refund for the defectice item and would not stated how much.BUYERS BEWARE THEY ONLY WARRANTY ANY ITEM THEY SELL FOR 30 DAYS..NO MORE.
