    I hired Superior on 6/13/25 to completely replace 16 feet of fencing, including posts and rails at a cost of $1,669.60. Per their contract, I paid 50% down ($834.80) that same day and was told Id get called the next business day (6/16/25) to confirm the job. I did receive that call on 6/16/25 from Superior. That was the last time I heard from them unprompted. I then proceeded to contact them on 7/9/25, 8/5/25, 8/10/25 and 8/11/25 to inquire about the start date of the job. Each time I was told Superior was waiting on a permit from my municipality (which Superior promised to get) and that was the hold up. Id later find out from my municipalitys Builder Inspector the Permit was applied for on 8/11/25, after I threatened to file a lawsuit against Superior, and on the day I finally received my Permit. On 8/20/25, when Superior arrived to do the install, they did not notify me of their arrival, identify themselves, or meet with me to verify the project that day (as is in their contract). They simply started tearing apart my fence. I made them stop work until the Project Manager from Superior arrived on site to speak to me about the project. Again, the Project Manager was supposed to verify the project day of and speak to me before the date of install. He did not do either. I also found out from my municipalitys Building Inspector that no work was to start that day until the Inspector arrived on site. Again, this did not happen. In short, this company has terrible customer service, they do not follow procedures/codes per your municipality or their contract, and you have to stay on them to even start the job.

    I am filing this complaint because my experience with Superior Fence and Rail in St. Louis has been completely unacceptable. I hired this company to install a white vinyl fence, and what I received was an incomplete, poorly executed job, followed by a total lack of communication.After installation, I immediately noticed multiple issues:Missing parts, including caps for the fence posts and a railing that was cut improperly, causing the pickets to sit unevenly.A gate installed incorrectly, with unnecessary holes drilled into a post.Scuffs and cuts on multiple posts, some appearing to have been sliced during installation.Blood stains on several posts, which no one attempted to clean.Trash and leftover fencing materials left in my yard.Due to rain, I had to cover the open posts myself with plastic bags to prevent water damage.On July 25, a truck from Superior arrived. I assumed the crew was returning to finish the job, but it was the project manager. He stated he had no idea the installation was incomplete until I told him. He walked the fence line with me, took pictures of the damage, admitted to the scuffs and cuts, and said most of the scuffs would buff out. Who is responsible for this, and when will the damaged posts be replaced? He also picked up the trash the crew left but offered no firm plan for completion, only saying the crew would hopefully return Monday.They never came. I called the office Monday and was promised a call backnone came. I called the project manager on Tuesday and again was told Id get a callstill nothing.Requested Resolution: I am asking Superior Fence and Rail to:Complete the fence installation properly.Replace all scuffed or cut posts.Fix the incorrectly installed gate.Install all missing caps and parts.Clean all blood stains from the fence.Provide clear communication and a firm completion date.I am paying for a professional fence, and I expect one delivered.

    Had a fence started on and now it's been 3 weeks later and they have yet to come back and finish up building my fence nor have they even contacted me back when I call to get the fence finished up

    hired this company to install a fence back in Jan. **** them the $10k deposit they asked up front. I was originally told we could get a fence in by end of Feb but we were held up by permits and a survey. Fine. however it took them TWO months to get a survey done and the only reason why it was even completed was because I personally called the survey company to get ONE drawing delivered. If I had not im sure superior would have done nothing. Next was a city permit which required just a couple written items and one check. I even prepared my written statement as soon as I knew about it and they just had to deliver these to the city in march to review. for 6 more weeks, they lied about making these deliverables and so I never got the meeting about my fence like I was supposed to. These were SIMPLE tasks that I couldve done in a week and it took them almost 4 months. A fence i was supposed to get in feb would not even be ordered until June. If they cant even get a survey done and get one permit, I cant imagine them installing a $20,000 fence right. Incompetency is one thing but the fact that ive reached out multiple times to get a refund and have not given a single call or email to rectify the matter means they are clearly thieves and trying to steal my money. Not only did they send me empty promises on delivery dates but they were extremely bad at communicating. I have MANY many emails that were left unread for days, sometimes weeks and if I had not continued to email/call, I would probably never see a fence. 100% stay away from this company

    At first I was very happy with this company, but they do sloppy work and lack in communication. They had assured me my fence was complete on day 2 and had my pay the remaining balance; however, an hour later the crew said they had to leave for another job but would be back the next day. After numerous calls to the company my fence is still not complete and its been over 10 days since they were last at my house. If anyone decides to use this company you better stay on top of the crew or they will leave without finishing the job.

    When I signed my contract in May, I was given a 6 week estimated start date. It has been more than 13 weeks of waiting for my fence which I had to pay half up front ($3500). The lack of communication and poor customer service has been frustrating & disappointing. I also feel I was scammed. I understand things come up and projects go wrong, but honest communication would have gone a lot further than the lack of communication and excuses I received. I would not recommend this company to anyone

    the company had set a date and a end date, and told me I was another 2 weeks out from the job, I paid in full, I told them I wanted to cancel, and that they where fired. ***** agreed it was on them, but they where keeping 25% of what I had paid them, even though they were in breach of there own contract. I would not recommend this company unless you read the terms of condition! I feel I was scammed
