It has come to BBB’s
attention that the business has a non-disparagement clause in its consumer
contract that prohibits customers from filing complaints or posting
negative reviews as a result of a marketplace interaction. Such practices are prohibited
and BBB does not withdraw complaints under these circumstances. Consent to post
the text of a complaint is solely at the discretion of the customer.
As of May 2022 the
business’ clause, which is found in its contract, states: “The Client agrees to pay all legal fees and damages to Two Ladies Cleaning, LC that are the result of information provided to review websites, forums, social media sites, blogs, etc. indefinitely including upon termination of this Contract."Businesses in the U.S. may not use such clauses per
the Consumer Review Fairness Act.
