    the cab is 3.50 plus 2.50 a mile as stated on website drivewr charged me ***** for a 5 mile round trip 2.5 there and 2.5 back the driver charged me over 5 dollars a mile. When I called cab company they said it was right and its not!

    While this person did not send details other than mileage, the flag (initial cost) and charge per mile, they claim the driver charged $21.50 for a 5-mile round trip, then state, "... the driver charged me over 5 dollars a mile."  A cab trip is based on the flag (initial fare), the mileage, a $1.00 gas surcharge if the driver chooses to charge it, an excess baggage if the driver chooses to charge it and Wait-Time (which accrues as with any taximeter at any regulated taxicab company when the vehicle is stopped in traffic, at lights, waiting at the pickup location, etc.).  We therefore answer as follows:  1. A payment of $21.50 for a five mile trip is NOT over $5.00 per mile, and 2. At a base rate of $3.50 (flag) plus $12.50 (5 miles x $2.50 per mile), $16.00 total before considering even the simple addition of WaitTime for stop signs, traffic lights, traffic, etc. and $21.50 as a final fare sounds exactly as it should.  It's unlikely that the trip was 5.0 miles exactly, so while we cannot issue a refund based on this limited statement, we would be happy to have management look at the specifics of the trip if the customer can provide this information (pickup location, route, drop-off, number of passengers, any baggage).

    I took a ride in ********* yesterday on 10/12/22. My total was $15. I tipped the driver which was included in the total. The company took out an additional $10 out on my card. I contacted the company and the owner sounded rude and basically told me I was wrong.

    We have spoken extensively with this complainant attempting to explain that we did not take an extra $10.00.  We do not know where her issue may lie - including with her bank, which we recommended she look into, but futilely.  I have included documentation showing her $9.00 fare, $1.00 fuel surcharge and $5.00 tip.  I've also included documentation along with that showing our credit card processor's action, settling at $15.00.  We have been as thorough as we can be in explaining to this customer that we did not take her extra $10.00, but we can go no further with explanation than this.  There will be no refund.

    Regarding the related issue of the owner sounding rude, it was not the owner she spoke to but the Chief Dispatcher.  He was not rude in the least; I have listened to this conversation and attest that he was very patient in trying to explain and listened attentively even when told to "slow your roll."  We regret that this customer felt differently, but the call and the issue were both handled professionally and with courtesy.
