I was going to apply for an apt. the registration fee was $45 and I know I do not get that back. I paid another $250.00 to the hold the apartment and then I would have to pay $300.00 and that came up to $550.00 and that would be applied to the security deposit plus the $45.00. They said the apartment was not ready. I informed them that I wanted a two bedroom and I was unable to see the two bedroom because it was under construction but they allowed to me to see a one bedroom apartment. So, I went to Walmart and got two money orders one in the amount for $250.00 and the other one for $45.00. So, I took it to them two weeks ago and I still have not seen the apartment, and they informed me that I would have to get the lights transferred in my name, and renter's insurance . They already had **** hooked up and I would just need to get switched in my name. I thought about me not seeing the apartment and then I called ****** and asked them to not switch it into my name and ****. They prorated my rent for Friday and Saturday for $69 and some change. I got a cashier check from my bank in the amount of $1414.66. I asked to see the apartment and the lady referred me to the manager. The manager stated that I would not get not get my $250.00 back because the apartment is on the market. I explained to them that I did not want to pay for something that I did not see. I was never given a opportunity to see the apartment. I explained to the lady that she was stealing from me. I did not want to have to a walk through the day of me moving. I would like to receive my $250.00 dollars back.
