      I paid a bill in the amount of $850.64 on 3/20/23 and then again by accident on 5/16/23. I called on 5/17/23 at 9:30 am to cancel this payment and I was told they would work on processing this request. After not seeing anything I called back on 6/20 and was told they didn't know what happened to the second payment. When I called on 6/21 I was told the payment was used to pay old bills from July of 2022. Due to family medical issues we met our out of pocket *** in mid June of 2022. The bills in question have been sent to insurance multiple times according to SLUCare, but every time I call insurance they say they did not receive them. The latest update on my insurance page says these bills were updated on 9/22/22. These charges for the hospital stay were fully covered from mid-June to July 5th and then they stopped being covered for some reason until July 17th at which point they were fully covered again. Insurance says SLUCare is billing it differently and SLUCare says they are billing it the same way. I can't see either side, but taking my money is not the appropriate answer. I would like my $850.64 payment back while we continue to resolve this billing issue.
