On December 26, 2023 me and my sister went to Extremely Clean Laundromat to wash our clothes, we spent around 26$ to wash them. While our clothes were in the dryer, I noticed that the room was getting smokey, my sister then pointed out that the smoke was coming from the dryer. We alerted the attendant who then told us to open the hot dryer to turn it off as he ran to the back to shut off the power. We opened the dryer and allowed the smoke to clear then went to check the carnage that was our clothes. The damage was extensive, jackets were destroyed, white shirts were now tan, and all of the socks shrunk. The dryer got so hot that it even burnt the dryer sheets. I spoke to the main manager *** who told me that the owner of the laundromat, ** would be there the next day, so I came back to the establishment and waited for him to come just to find out that he in-fact wouldn't be there that day, but would be there the day after and to come around 4. I arrive at 4 and ** is anything but professional, after showing him multiple videos of me pulling the burnt clothes out of the dryer and showing him the items that were damaged he proceeds to tell me that it is my fault that the clothes burnt and that he needed to see the actual clothes in person and not through a video. I explained to him that i live 30 minutes away from the establishment and that he shouldve mentioned that over the phone if he was going to need them, the clothes smelled awful i didnt want to keep them around. He obviously was looking for a way spin the narrative and make it seem like it was user error rather than the fact that their dryer was way too hot for their warm setting. I explained to him that *** washed and dried my clothes at other establishments and have never had a problem and that what warm setting shouldnt get hot enough to melt clothes and he wasnt listening. Knowing that we werent going to come to a resolution i then left the establishment.
