***** ****** from MGI Risk advisors acted unprofessionally and unethically. He would not send a full insurance proposal for the *** Condominium complex after we were cancelled by the carrier he represents. We did not have a complete proposal, with pricing, coverage and the carrier until after we had to bind insurance with another carrier. He then met with individual homeowners, not the association board entity to negotiate moving the coverage back to his agency. His actions cost the ***************** thousands of dollars. A complaint has also been filed with the Missouri Insurance Board. Do not trust this person. He does not do business ethically.

In late December, we received a non-renewal notice from ********, and immediately began working on a solution eventually having them continue to write your policy for renewal. We were also assisting ****** on questions and concerns regarding the wiring and panel issues. On 1/14/2025, we received the Broker of Record (***) Change Notice. At this point, our work was being handed over to *************** This includes the Umbrella Policies and Workers Compensation, which at this point, we could not obtain any umbrella quotes as the most competitive market was taken and blocked from our use, as well as we did not have the underlying package to provide to the ***** numbers. On 2/13/2025, it was brought to Angelas attention that we had a market, ******** (which the carriers name was not mentioned to protect against the new broker from doing a *** on this quote. We requested a meeting at this time to discuss specifics. ****** responded, saying she did not want to jeopardize the work they are working on. I replied with a ballpark figure. ****** was concerned if this carrier knew of the Aluminum wiring exposures, to which I promptly expressed that they are aware of the exposures (2/14/2025). Proposal was requested 2/14/2025, and again, confirmed carrier was aware of exposures and that we did not want to provide carrier information as we did not want our work taken from us. Proposal delivered to **** and ****** 2/19/2025 with a note that the pricing for the whole package would be in the low to mid 300s. We did not hear any response from this email, so a follow-up on 2/24/2025 was sent, and ****** stated she did not receive a proposal, to which I have provided proof this was sent by emails, as well as confirmation again that they are aware of the ************ of 4/29/2025, we have received a *** from the new president of the board to notify ****** and ***** the board would like to bring the business back to ***. The Columbia Policy has been bound effective 5/3/2025 and any duplicate coverages are being processed for cancellation to provide any due refunds back to the association. At the time of this letter, we are working on acquiring the original $15M umbrella limit to ultimately bring the account back to the original coverages it had with ***, while saving the association over $200,000 in premium. We can provide a copy of the *** letter to move the business back to MGI Risk Advisors from ****** and ***** Agency as well as copies of the emails and insurance proposal provided to the ***********************. *** and ***** ****** assert that neither *** nor ***** ****** has done anything wrong in insurance procurement for the condominium association. Had the association felt such, they would not have ***'d the business back to ***.

Here is additional email correspondence received from member/resident of the association regarding the matter from the association perspective.

    To: ******* ****** <********************************>
Subject: Response to **** ********* complaint

    ***** ******, MGI Risk Advisors

Hi *****.  I am sending you this email to detail my account of the *** ********************** issue with **** *******.
For approximately 15 CONSECUTIVE years, you provided the *** condominium Association with excellent service and insurance.
*** *****, as President of the ***************, handled the insurance of the Association for those years.

At a Board meeting on March 17, 2025, Owners learned that our new insurance, already in place as of Feb 25, was from ****** and ***** at a cost of $609,000.
*** *****, who was sitting next to me at the Board meeting, was in shock.  He asked me if he heard correctly the $609,000 cost. I said yes.
After the meeting, *** told me that he could have secured the cost for +/- $350,000 through your agency.  Now, I was in shock.
So I asked *** to verify that with you by setting up a meeting to discuss.  On April 1, 2025, myself, *** *****, you and ******* ****** met at the *** clubhouse.
At the meeting you confirmed 2 things.  1)  Our insurance was cancelled in late Dec. 2024 and was not going to be renewed.  2)  Around Feb. 13 you told **** ******* and the Manager that the cancellation was rescinded and that the *** Association could now be insured.  That left 12 days for Mr. ******* to consider your policy proposal.  Mr. ******* claimed some things were missing in the proposal...but the bottom line was Mr. ******* REFUSED to set up a meeting with you to discuss any of his so-called claims between Feb 13 -25.

At a savings of nearly $259,000 (609,000 - *******) **** ******* should have happily "jumped" on that policy.
**** ******* failed at his "fiduciary duty" to serve the best interest of the Association.
Mr. ******* also had a duty to inform the Insurance committee, that there was now a 2nd policy to consider.  Mr. ******* failed to do that
    The only 3 persons to know of the 2nd policy (Feb13 - 25)offered by ***...were **** *******, *** ******* and the Manager.
NO other board members, nor the Insurance committee were notified of your policy until sometime in April.

On April 1, you told ***** and I that you thought you could still obtain the *** Association insurance coverage.
After a lot of "owner" pressure on **** *******, a meeting was finally set up for April 9, with the Insurance committee present...in order for you to present your policy and cancel the ****** and ***** policy.  Mr. ******* continued his resistance to change back to ***.  To the amazement of almost every single Owner and member of the Coeur de ******************************, none of us could understand why Mr. ******* would refuse to save close to $250,000.  It made no sense.  ******************** continued to spout nonsensical reasons.
The question arises...WHY, would a fiduciary not immediately try to save the Association $250,000 ??
If Mr. ******* had issues that needed to be answered, WHY would he not meet with you between Feb. 13 - 25?
Why would Mr. ******* even contest your word and offer...after you have served this Association approximately 15 consecutive years, in an honest, ethical and transparent manner?
None of **** ********* actions make any sense.

Finally after much owner/member pushback...the Board decided it was wiser and in the best interest of the Association to change to your *** insurance since it was at a great savings and better coverage.  There have been attempts by Mr. ******* at an explanation...BUT THERE ARE NONE THAT MAKE ANY LOGICAL SENSE.

**** ******* is dishonest and unethical.
Many other Owners agreed with me...and Mr. ******* has since resigned from the Board.

I find **** ********* complaint to the BBB, unbelievable and defamatory and he individually, and as President of *** condominium association should be held accountable.

    Respectfully,
**** ***** / Unit owner and member of the ****************************
