      I started the home buying process, and I closed on Friday. I didn&#**;t get the keys. Midwest is not funding the money yet. I had a CD that I was going to withdraw and I was due the interest on it. I went to *** location and the interest was only $200. They didn&#**;t have the proper Social on me either. They couldn&#**;t explain what had happened. The guy who started the loan process isn&#**;t communicating well. I was referred to the ****************** location. I don&#**;t know what is happening. I gave them $8300 and I have no keys and no one is communicating.

      I have cashed checks at this location even though I am not a member and I&#**;m usually only charged $8 to do so but on Friday 11/22/24 I cash another check and they charged me $92.00 which is completely wrong, I have contacted the business, but not gotten a response back.

      Hello,

      The following is in response to the complaint submitted by ****** ****, ID# ********, which was received by Midwest BankCentre on December 18, 2024.  The customer submitted the initial complaint to the BBB on November 25, 2024. 

      In her complaint, Ms. **** claims that, although she is not a member of the bank, she has previously cashed checks at the institution and was typically charged a smaller fee. On this occasion, however, she expressed dissatisfaction with being charged a $92.00 fee to cash a check.

      Regarding the customers complaint, our investigation confirmed that the correct fee was charged in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures. Non-Customers fees are set to charge $2.00 for every one-hundred-dollar increment of the check amount. In this case, the customer cashed a $4,600.00 check. Further discussions with bank personnel revealed that Ms. **** was informed of the policy and opted to proceed with cashing the check. She was also offered the alternatives of opening an account with us to avoid the fee or cashing the check at her own bank.

      Based on these findings, *** has determined that its check cashing procedures were properly followed. Therefore, *** denies any fault or wrongdoing related to the fee charged.

      Online system is meant to make you go into a late payment status multiple times and their dashboard never reflects accurate amounts owed. I have several emails and recorded calls with Midwest to confirm that when they confirm a compromised dashboard is their fault and not mine, my lates will be removed and then they are not. When trying to call, you can never ever reach a loan officer able to handle this information and you are purposely passed from one person to another with extreme hold times, only promised to be called back and it doesn't happen with any consistency. I have tried to schedule a call multiple times and my requests are ignored.
