Alamo is trying to scam me for $1200 of damage found after car rental drop off that I did not cause. Car pick up was sketchy, they didnt have the car I rented available and handed me the keys for a different one in the dark and walked away. I drove the car twice. Drop off inspection went great and he said all good to go. Now later they filed a claim against me for a whole bunch of damage including a huge white scratch on a black car (how was that missed?) ripped up fabric, broken off trunk latch, dented metal and some other small damage in the trunk. Disgusting

I paid for the rental in full. When we picked up the car, they charged an additional $130 fee for taxes that they said weren't included in the total that we paid. After the car was returned, we are charged ANOTHER $67! When I called they said that it would not be refunded because I owed the amount. I have the original statement that was email after I paid the original amount! I will NEVER use Alamo again!!!!

They are making me pay for damage to a car that I was not responsible for. You can clearly see rust starting to form on the damaged area. Rust does not form in less than 24 hrs and that was how long I had the car. Please take my name from your mailing list. NEVER AGAIN.

I selected 1 star because I had to. It would not let me just not select no stars.. By far the worst company I have every dealt with. There is no direct line, only the 866 number. There is never a supervisor to speak with. And if you book with a third party, get ready to lose all your money to all the lies and the "deposit". It has been weeks and I am still awaiting for someone from Corporate to contact me. I even filed a complaint on here with the BBB and they said it was the wrong company and because I used a third party to reserve and book my rental, they closed the complaint. So now I am out of $1500 for a vehicle I didn't even get to rent. The 866 number gives you a different person everytime you call and get a different answer. It's sad they get away with the constant lies and make no attempt to make things right with the customer. It is sad to say that good customer service is a thing of the past. You can't even rely on the resources that is supposed to help anymore...

Left us on side of road and wouldn't pay for person to come out and change a tire. Only found out after 30 minutes after *** was heading this way they werent paying him. Leaving us stuck in the dark to change a tire, stuck on mountain in middle of desert an hour away from closest town. Even though they offer and we purchased roadside assistance/coverage. Been driving all day with a 7 year old half way through vacation. Maybe we could have managed to change the tire if we had sunlight. But they waited to leave us stranded in the dark! Do not recommend!!! Ever!! Avoid at all cost!!

I rented a car from Alamo through *******. When I came to check out the car, Alamo refused to accept the policy that I paid for to cover the car instead forced me to use my own personal vehicle insurance. Then when I returned the car the next day, the attendants claimed that there was hail damage on the roof which I could not reach due to being taller than me. They had me take a few pictures with my phone of the dust spots on the roof of the car that were theoretically considered hail damage. Then in their incident report they stated there was hail damage on the roof and the hood, yet they never pointed out to me any damage or even mentioned a problem with the hood while I was there. I could more easily have seen the alleged damage on the hood. Not only did they put different information in their report, but they promised I would hear from a claims person in a couple days. I finally received a terse message with no information other than a claim number a month later. I called back the same day and again a week later only to be shunted each time to an answering machine, and still have not received a return call. I finally received a letter several days after the first call stating that they had not yet received a response from me. The good news was it actually had some of the information I needed to submit the claim to insurance but I am still lacking an actual invoice from the repair shop without which my insurance cannot investigate the claim. Needless to say I will never use Alamo again. I just hope this review can save others the headache of dealing with them.
