I test drove a Ford F-250 Super Duty on 8/3/24 and told the owner about my concerns in which he said that they would have it fixed when I picked up the vehicle. On 8/6/24 I sat and signed paperwork after giving $5,000 for my down payment and once I got in to drive home, I noticed that the issues wasn't fixed and that the four-wheel drive didn't work (which they had listed did). After doing my own research I found out that it has a BRANDED TITLE (which they never mentioned) and that the truck has not been inspected. I went back to them to get something done about mechanical issues they sent me to their shop ******* **** **** on 8/15/24 Who informed me they had to replace the stabilizer, sway bar, cab mounts, and a vacuum line for the 4X4. I got the truck back on 8/16/24 drove it home and realized that it was leaking antifreeze. On 8/17/24 my wife and I went back to Summer Motors and asked if they would just buy the truck back and refund me my money as its just becoming a headache along with the fact, they never told us it has a branded title, and they said that they don't do that and that she will message the mechanic and ******* **** **** to have it seen. I drove it to them, and they informed me that now the water pump is out on the truck which could be due to its previous work. I am to get the truck back today 8/19/24. I am just wanting to give back the vehicle and be refunded my down-payment of $5,000 and take my business elsewhere.

Customer did test drive on 8/3/24 for
about 45 minutes, when they got back they met with the owner and
stated that it drove a little different and he told them that was how
it was and his wife spoke up and said, that's ok, he still wants the
truck. He was wanting the truck that day, even after the test drive,
but we were about to close so we set it up to pick up on the
following week. At closing, signing of paperwork, *** ************
never said anything about any kind of repair needing done or asked if
it was done. The first time the customer asked for his money back he
stated the truck was not practical for him and his family because he
drives a lot for work and the the F250 would use a lot of gas, after
telling him we did not have a return policy is when he complained
about the things wrong with the truck. After having the vehicle for
a week and had driven approximately 700 miles he wanted to have it
looked at, he took the truck to ******* **** **** and they repaired
issues that *** ************ has already stated and had attached a
copy of the invoice to his original complaint. When he got it back a
short time later, it started leaking antifreeze, knowing that Diamond
had to move around the radiator for the previous repair, we were
thinking maybe something had to do with that so he took it back to
them on Saturday 8/17/2024. It was not the radiator, the water pump
had actually come apart and for this repair he had purchased a
warranty and it was turned into the warranty company for the repair
    of the water pump.

Attached you will see the title, the
title is NOT branded, not sure why Carfax is stating that it is, but
the title is free from any kind of branding. Again. when he signed
paperwork, customer did not request any repair or inquire if anything
was repaired at the time of signing. I am also attaching the as-is
forms the customer had signed and you can see he did not request
anything for repairs at that time on the multiple forms, agreed to
the vehicle in the condition it was and signed paperwork willingly.
Customer had put down $500 when he agreed to the purchase of the
vehicle on Saturday and then paid the remaining $4,500 upon signing
of paperwork and picking up the vehicle. If customer was unhappy
with the vehicle or was concerned about a repair, he would not have
paid the remaining down payment or even taken the vehicle.

Since these issues, we have been
threatened with this complaint they have made, claimed they are
filing a complaint with the Attorney General and slander posts made
on social media. Customer came in on 8/19/24 to pick up his
paperwork and title, our policy is to have them sign a form that just
simply states they had picked up their title and paperwork, he
refused to sign it, said he was not comfortable and would bring in
his lawyer. We have mailed out his paperwork to his home via Postal
Service, 2 day priority with signature required. We require the
signature only to make sure we have an acknowledgment in their file
they did receive their title and paperwork as people will loose them
and say we had never had given the paperwork to them.

Attached some copies of the paperwork
that show he agreed to purchase vehicle in as-is condition as well as
a copy of the title for your review, hopeful you will find we have
not been negligent as was stated in the original complaint.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/29/2024

Since our first response, we have found that  the title is showing a mileage discrepancy.  We did research and found this was a
clerical error at the State of Missouri level and can be changed if
the original title is sent in with an affidavit requesting a new
title and the reason. They have a paperwork trail that shows someone
had entered the mileage as 127,204 instead of what was on the
odometer statement and the ID/OD which was 128,204. We had never
seen the mileage discrepancy on a title in the way this one was
printed, it would usually state TMU in the mileage column or no
mileage at all just an asterisk. We would be happy to do this,
however, the customer is very hostile towards our company including
posting on social media, I am sure they would not be willing to let
    us send it in.

The customer has not communicated with us since he asked us to reduce his pay off so he could trade it in.  He does have another vehicle but is driving it daily and to our knowledge has not had any other issues.  Again, we would be happy to get the title corrected if he would allow us to do so.
