On November 27, 2021 ***** ***** came to my home as I requested to trap possums living under my deck. He wrote a agreement that spelled out fees and said he would come back on Monday 11/29/21 first thing in the morning to set traps. He asked for a check for $185.00 as a setup fee, I gave him the check. That evening we had a altercation between the possum and our dogs, there was blood on the sidewalk so my friend caught the possum and disposed of it. On Monday **** did not show first thing in the morning but did call that afternoon and said he would come set traps. I told him about the incident and that we may have addressed the problem. He then said he would drop my check off, I suggested he hold it a couple days in case I still needed his services. He agreed. Instead he went straight to the bank and deposited my check. I do have a written bid that shows the $185 was for the setup. After I realize he cashed the check I called him and he said he told me it had been deposited, I dont believe this since he offered to return it. I told him he needed to do the job or return the money. He said he was working with rented equipment and would call me back. I have never been able to get him on the phone since. I did research his LLC on the secretary of state office and he does not have LLC in the State of Missouri, I also called the City of Saint Joseph to inquire about a Business License which he has none. The City told me this was fraud and to make a police report. I would like my money back and to make sure this guy can not take advantage of anyone else while he is misrepresenting himself as a business owner.
