Dec. 19th he came and said our issue was a thermostat. Gave us a quote of $400,charging us for the parts and labor before he had even done the labor or gotten the parts. Says he's going to go get the parts then couple hours later says he's not gonna drive that far to get them and we'll just have to wait till 1/4 when his supplier will open back up. It's the dead of winter so we go and get the part an hr away. He returns a couple days later and ends up frying our control panel, he tells me that's the problem and I turn around and spend $250 on a new control panel, he shows up after xmas and my husband is home at this time and this guy frys the new control panel..so now we know that it was his error the 1st time also. So he says he'll be back with the new Part on his dime. He shows up couple days later with just a thermostat and starts saying u can't fry the control panel..we were on the phone with the parts distributor that said directly if you don't unhook the 12 volt power when hooking up the thermostat it'll fry the board, which he did not disconnect the power either time. He says he'll be back after the 4th. He has stopped responding to messages, phone calls and haven't seen him since 12/30. Charged me $400, when we went and got the part he gave me the 125 he charged me for the part he hadn't purchased or priced yet ($275). But then convinced me I had to purchase the 250 part he broke in the first place ($525) and now we have to purchase another $250 ($775) part and pay another tech to come out @ $125-$150/hr (>=$900, so out of pocket and have been left without heat for our family.)
I want my $275 back for the labor/service fee, all he did was damage my unit, to pay for a tech to repair our travel trailer. I want $250 for the part we have to buy yet again, since he damaged the original part and the brand new part and never brought us a replacement...even though he should have had to replace it the 1st time he fried it. So $575 to make us whole again.

I am rejecting this response because:

I've have tried to reach out to this business and they chose not respond and it's been since January 4th...so 3 mths and no response to me and no reaching out knowing they left us with an unoperational unit...I have handled the issue on my end and do not wish to speak or see this business owner any longer. After the last visit resulting in some very strange behavior...I do not feel comfortable having any more interaction with them. Again it's been 3 mths since they were last seen and no response or reaching out knowing they left us with no heat or ac. Knowing they damaged my 1st board and 2nd board...and price for new board was $300 because of Part costs going up...so I even more money out of pocket. The only resolution I would find sufficient is a refund/reimbursement of $425 for the extra cost that I incurred for replacing parts he broke.

    Sincerely,
