    In 2023, I hired IBEX Roofing and Solar to replace my roof.  The crew was professional and replaced the roof efficiently.  Because of my satisfaction with the roof, I hired the company again for window replacements.  Unfortunately, the window project was an extremely bad experience.  The company took the job with good intentions.  But rather than admit they were in over their heads and leave the job for someone more capable to tackle, the owner gave one excuse after another regarding delays and was constantly postponing dates.  A year and half later when no windows materialized, I asked for my deposit of $21,500 back. 

    IBEX was kiting my deposit of $21,500, the unscrupulous practice of spending a customer's deposit on a project to fund other projects. The company not only violated my trust as a client but the deceptive, unethical, and unscrupulous practice has violated Missouri's unfair trade practice statute. My experience with IBEX has been frustrating and disappointing -- the owner has returned only a third of my deposit after 22 months -- and I hope the public can learn from my experience and exercise caution if they choose to hire IBEX. I couldn't be more disappointed with this company.

    Dear BBB,

    Unfortunately, I have not heard from the owner of IBEX Roofing and Exteriors since January 17, 2025.  The company still owes me: $15,500 + $25 (the owner issued a check that bounced and my bank charged me a fee for the insufficient fund) = $15,525.  I have been trying to recover my deposit since September 2024.  The owner has the tendency to delay responding and delay issuing payments.  This has been my experience for over two years now.
