Bug infestation (scorpion, spiders, centipedes, wasps, mosquitoes) and a bad smell (possibly mold) at new apt. I signed lease 9/30 to receive keys 10/15/25 and stayed first day and night 10/17 and that's been my only time because of how bad it's been. I bug bombed next morning, texted complex and went to clean residue on Sunday, 10/19, and there were still live bugs so bug bombed again. Monday I got a response from complex and call from pest control. I told them about a big open hole under my sink around water heater in ground and he requested it got covered before spraying. With as many small cracks in walls bugs were still coming in plus the place being filled with poison after bombing and smelling like mold, my dogs and I were not going to stay there. Tuesday 11/21, I went to meet pest control and start getting my stuff out because everything that wasnt even unpacked was smelling really bad from apt and not just from bug bombs and hole still not covered, but pest control had to spray anyway so that contradicted itself. Then I noticed the fridge wasnt working, everything in there got spoiled.I opened fridge day I received keys and it was barely cool so I left it but when I tried to turn k*** to get the temperature to drop, it didnt turn still seemed like it was sort of functioning, but apparently that was on its last legs too. I went Sat 10/25 to get a batch of stuff out and even then the hole wasnt ********* of the property management, ****, refused to believe I was telling truth (even when I explained to other property management I will be taking my time moving in), hung up on me and told me I was screaming at her, which I was not. Ive put down $1000 to hold it, $500 deposit for my dog, prorate another $500+ (even though when I asked what would be due on the 15th I got told 956 give or take and it ended up being over $1000) and $975 is due on the first. I got told I need to give 60day notice+1800. I want at least $500 back. I do have pics and texts for proof

Ms. ***** contacted us about the issues she was having, the apartment is located near a wooded area, where scorpions and other insects could have possibly gotten into the unit. However, Pest control was sent to the unit on 10/20/25, they found a small hole and it was sealed, where the scorpions & etc. could have gotten in, when we informed her that maintenance and pest control took care of the issues, she then requests to break her lease because she would not be continuing to reside there. I explained to her the lease buyout terms, ******** stated to me that she did not agree with the buyout amount, and said that we could keep her deposit, which I then informed Ms. ***** that is not how the buyout works. She then says that she would be speaking to an attorney. After the 10/21/25 I messaged Ms. ***** to see how things were going and she responded with the refridgerator wasn't working, on the 10/27/25 maintenance then went over to check her refrigerator and her power was not on, it had been disconnected by Ms. ****** We will not be refunding the non-refundable $500 pet deposit as part her lease agreement also. In addition to submitting legal documents to our attorney for early termination of her lease that we did not agree upon.
