My wife called Hoff Heating and AC to do a maintenance check up on our ac about three weeks ago. Yesterday we noticed that our upstairs was not cooling down so I check outside and noticed we have a ball of ice on the pipe coming from the ac unit. A technician came out today to diagnose what was wrong and he told me that there was a leak in a coil which is causing it not to run properly. This is 3 weeks after they were out and told us everything looked good. Now they want $1500 to replace the part and money to refill the Freon. I feel like they are the reason it is broke since we went 9 1/2 years without any issues and then 3 weeks after they work on it, it breaks.Business response

The customer's complaint was discussed over the phone on 8/15/22 and resolved by follow up service call to verify failed mechanical coil. The failed evaporator coil was then replaced at discounted rate after *** ******** was able to verify cause of failure with subsequent technician *** *****. Customer verified via text message that he was satisfied with the outcome after explanation and further corroboration.
