We purchased 2 puppies on 4/14/25. They come with a "health guarantee" that the puppies will be free of various diseases, including parvovirus (a very contagious disease that is fatal to puppies without timely treatment). We picked the puppies up at the *************** on 4/18/25. Upon arriving home, the younger of the two (the breeder called him Forte; we renamed him ****) began vomiting water. Shortly thereafter, he also started having ****** diarrhea. We called our vet that evening and they said they couldn't give advice on a puppy they had never examined. We also reported this to the breeder at the same time and they told us to keep them informed of how things were going. The vomiting and diarrhea continued overnight, and by Sat. AM (4/19) **** was also lethargic and refusing food. We decided to take him to the emergency vet after consulting with them over the phone. The vet ran tests and diagnosed him with parvovirus. Immediate, aggressive treatment of parvovirus is required in order to help the puppy defeat the infection and save his life. We reported this to the breeder, at which time they verbally assured us they would reimburse us for the vet bills.**** spent 3 nights in quarantine admitted at the ************. The total bill for this was $4342.34. The breeder asked us to forward them the receipt so they could reimburse us, and we sent it immediately. When following up on when we could expect reimbursement, ***** ***** (who we had been communicating with about this) informed us she was only the "kennel manager" and she would have to send the paperwork to the owners of the company for reimbursement. We sent repeat emails and left many phone messages, and each time they said that the owners would follow up with us. ***** refused to give us the owners' names or contact information. Eventually she told us they didn't have the funds to reimburse us, and then said the owners threatened to fire her for talking to us at all.We have yet to hear from the owners.

We finally have heard back from the out-of-stare owners and they have repaid us about 1/6 of what is owed. I dont want this complaint listed as resolved until they fully reimburse our expenses.

I was going to purchase a cocker spaniel from this company and the owner was very rude to me and would not let me speak. He charged me $605.45 and then told me he would be flagging me from ever purchasing a dog from them again.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/08/2024

I do not recall any calls and I have no emails from this lady.  And I do not recall any conversation with her either. Now I am not sayig she is not being truthful. I did check to see if her refund had been sent, It has not there is a reason as My wife Mother and Sister died in this time frame So I am sure I was not in a good mood.

I will be refunding her money less expenses we enounteed in her behalf, Vet Exam 80.45.

She called and placed her order the day before she wanted to pick up her pup, We require at least a working day to make all the arrangements. We encuntered overtime and jumped thru hoops to make this happen for her,  So I did tell her I was giong to advise our membership on the do not sell to list, there are people who pull this junk on breeders all the time I for one Do not like it one bit and I fail to find any humor in this childish behavior.
