My grandson, needed a car, so we went to this business to look at a 2015 ************, it had some scratches on it, but we figured that would be okay, It was pretty clean and nice inside, I thought it was a little high, my son drove it to check it out and there was a problem with the bearing or sensor, is what the business told us. There was no spare tire, or **** in the trunk, which they said they would take $200.00 off and they could order the part. They said they didn't know the spare and **** wasn't in there. That was a lie if you sell a car, you get it repaired to sell. We think they took out the tire and ****, then they would charge us $200.00 to get the money they wanted out of the car. The regular price was $9,700.00, so they took $200.00. We didn't have them to order the spare tire or ****. Weel, today my son and grandson took the car to ******************* dealer to find out what was wrong with the car and all 4 Hubs is messed up and it is going to cost us $1,631.00 or more. The ***** dealer said they never seen anything like it before. They Show me Auto sales made sure we bought as is. That is not right, they should have had that fixed, I think they are crooks and of course I had to find them. There should have been a 30- day warranty on it but guess not. What should we do????

I had to go back to Show me Auto Sales, **********, ** April 26, 2024, because they had written over the date purchased.  ************** of ******* wouldn't give my grandson his tags without an affidavit having them to correct the date being wrote over. I told the owner, ***************************, it cost us $1631,00 to fix the ************, he said where did you take it, I said the ***** dealer, he said you shouldn't of took it there they are high.  He said don't you know a mechanic and I said no, just the dealers or ********* around ****************, MO.  I said don't you fix the cars before you sell them, he said yeah.  Well, that was not correct, or we wouldn't have had to fix it ourselves.  They bought it from an Auction on ***************, ***********, Mo and I am sure they never gave more than $4,000.00 or $5,000.00 for it. Then I took my grandson on Monday April 29, 2024, to get his tags for the car and the lady that waited on us noticed that when they filled out the title, they filled it out as their self being the Seller and the Buyer, so she had to call them and have them do another Affidavit to correct the buyers, and Fax it to her, it took a while, and we were holding up the line. My grandson barely had room to sign the title.  I feel like they should give us $2,000.00 back because of the cost to fix the car.  Like I said it also didn't have a spare tire or lining in the trunk, I never saw that before.  When we looked it in the trunk, they acted like they didn't know it was missing.  They would order one for us it would be $200.00 would be in on Monday.  I think I told you they told us that one of the tires had a bearing or senor going out it wouldn't cost much to fix it.

These cars are sold w/o warranty. We told her a wheel bearing was bad but she refused. She declined the warranty. She took it to a **** dealer mechanic which was more expensive than a private mechanic would have been. She had all four wheel bearings replaced when she did not need all those. She came back and wanted us to do paperwork and we did it. She never called us to complain about this.

Show me Auto Sales sold me an SUV with an invalid safety inspection. The brakes went out on my way home and I could have been killed. Hwy patrol got evolved and had someone inspect the vehicle and found it failed inspection 7 different ways. The dealership tried to do the repairs and say it was safe and it was failed a 2nd time. This aside, minutes after I purchased the vehicle i went to get gas across the street from the dealership and after I filled it up and went to start it, the engine growled and wouldn't start, then started and wouldn't go into drive. Finally got it started and went directly back to the dealership, they wouldn't give me my money back but instead wrote me a promise to repair whatever caused my engine to grow and lock up. They had my vehicle for nearly 7 weeks since the day after I bought it and got belligerent and mad at me for them having to make repairs to make it pass safety, like it was my fault. And promised me a car and never gave me one. Now I'm scared of them and need someone to intervene on my behalf so they do right by me. I have hundreds of screenshots from 2 employees that provide an accurate setting, timeline and every detail.

    Business Response

I am writing in regard to the above complaint.  Show Me Auto Sales did in fact sell ************************* a 2007 Buick Rendevous on 08/02/2023.  She drove the vehicle and decided to make the purchase.  All customers are encouraged to test drive, have a mechanic look over, and make an educated decision before the purchase.  All of our vehicles come with a Missouri state safety inspection done at many different locations.  We do not personally do the safety inspections.  She stated that her brakes went out on her way home, that is a false statement she contacted us about 3 days later saying that there was break fluid leaking.  The breaks worked perfectly fine when inspected and when drove off the lot.  Show Me Auto Sales employee personally went and picked up the vehicle and trailered it to a mechanic shop to have the problem fixed.  The repair was in fact done improperly.  Upon further review the inspector saw that a tie out tie rod end was leaking grease, one of the windshield wipers was not fully attached and was keeping the vehicle from passing the inspection.  All repairs have been made and are in good working condition as of now.  All used cars in the state of ******** are sold AS IS and ******* signed the document stating so.  Show Me Auto has gone above and beyond to satisfy her.  We have done more for her through this process than a lot of other places would.  We did not have to repair anything but as a good business practice we took care of the repairs.  As far as Show Me Auto Sales is concerned the problem is solved.  We have been nothing short of courteous.

I do not believe that any amount of action on our end will make ******* happy.  ******* seems to be chasing phantom issues that ae not there.  Show Me Auto Sales did inform her that once she received the vehicle back in good working condition to not contact us again.  She has been nothing but problems and full of drama.  Just goes to show this complaint is being made after all the help we have given her.  At the end of the day ******* bought a used car and is now having buyer's remorse.

I am attaching the new State safety inspection slip, invoice or repairs, and the signed AS IS document.
