I hired them to fix my mower. They came out & said my carburetor was bad & they'd order a new one & it would arrive in 3-4 days. They took a $247 deposit for the part & house call. They didn't contact us for almost 2 weeks & only after numerous attempts of us calling texting & fb messaging. They then came out & after taking the mower apart discovered the part they ordered was the wrong part. They said the new one would be in in 2-3 days. After another week & a half of us calling texting & messaging again they finally came out when only my wife was home. Instead of the new carburetor they put a couple parts on my old one & reinstalled it incorrectly breaking a gasket while doing so. They got the mower started & running for a few minutes with some starter fluid & told my wife it was fixed & the part replaced. They then tried to charge $100 more than what was agreed upon returning telling my wife they had to come here "a bunch". They tried to intimidate my wife enough that she called me at work. I told her only pay the $187.50 that we had agreed to upon return & fixing the mower with a new part (I was unaware that they had put my old part back on instead of the new one they had said). I then tried to start the mower when I got home & it will not start. The carburetor is still bad because it's the old broken one. I called them to get them back out to either fix or refund my money & they started cursing & threatening me on the phone. They charged me $434.50 to do nothing but clean a broken carburetor & tell me it was a new part.

I hired wild wood small engine repair to have my riding lawn mower repaired. I spoke to a young lady who friendly. She told me there is a $75 for house call, l agreed. Justin and I spoke on the phone and I described the condition of the mower best ability. I also sent him the schematic of the area I thought I mower. needed repaired. Justin and Stacy sent me a quote to repair my mower. I agreed with the quote for the exception of tax on the labor. And also they tried to bump the $75 house call to $95. She adjusted the bill. I told them to fix it. Two days later I used the mower and the repair that Justin performed failed. Now Justin won't return my calls. Stacy will not return my call. Repared date was May 10th on the 13th of may the repair failed is was Sunday. I left messages for Stacy and Justin. Either employee has not return my call or text messages. I recieved a call from Trace o believe on the 14th,? Anyway he was no help. He was argumentative and rude.Told me lies that the repaired man accused me of none true. He said he said he would contact Justin and call me back yesterday...No call from anyone. I paid $500 for the repairs that failed only .two days later and they wont even recheck there work? I just want my riding lawn mower fixed.Or if they can't fix it I would like a refund. I am disabled and need a riding mower. Beware!!!!

Wildwood Small Engine Repair, LLC Response

    05/16/2024

We are sorry to hear about your recent experience with Wildwood Small Engine Repair. We strive to provide excellent service and take all customer feedback seriously. However, we need to address several points from our perspective. Firstly, we apologize for the initial miscommunication regarding the house call fee, which was corrected immediately upon your notification. We understand that you agreed to the quote for the repair work, except for the tax on labor, and this was also addressed. Regarding the repair on your riding lawn mower, we regret that the issue reoccurred shortly after the service was completed. Our technician, Justin, performed the repair on May 10th, and you reported the failure on May 13th. We acknowledge your attempts to contact Justin and Stacy following this incident and apologize for the delay in their responses. However, we must clarify several points based on the feedback from our team: Behavior and Safety Concerns: Our technician, Justin, reported that while he was at your property, you were using the lawn mower aggressively and used profane language towards him. This created an unsafe and hostile work environment. We have visuals confirming this behavior. Request for Side Work: It was reported that you asked Justin to perform work outside of the company’s standard procedures, attempting to bypass our established rates. This is against our company policy and compromises our service integrity. Outstanding Payments: You have not settled the payment for the additional hours of work completed by our technician. Our original quote was for three hours of work, but our technician spent more time disassembling and repairing the equipment due to the condition it was in. Given these circumstances, we are currently unable to send Justin back to your property for further repairs. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our staff, and the behavior reported by our technician makes it unsafe for him to return. To address the failed repair, we propose the following steps: Resolution Options: We can arrange for a different technician to reassess and correct the repair issues, provided there is assurance of a respectful and safe environment. Payment Settlement: All outstanding payments need to be settled to reflect the work completed. Please contact our office directly at (888)594-5516 or respond to this email to discuss these options and any remaining concerns. Our goal is to ensure you have a fully functional riding lawn mower while maintaining a respectful and safe environment for our employees. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
