I went there with my sister today to help her get a car. We were looking at an $18,500 Volkswagen Passat r line 2020, they told us the car wasn't for sale even though it was listed online. Then they brought us a 2022 Volkswagen Passat limited that cost 25,600.
    Bait and switch. Super scummy

Brian, we are sorry for the confusion and frustration during your visit. We are a high-volume dealership, and vehicles do sell quickly. We typically do have options or like vehicles, and I apologize that was not the case this time. We are happy to help and can put the vehicle you are looking for on a wish list so when it does become available, we can contact you immediately. As with most dealerships, vehicles stay on the website until it has made it through the process at that time it will be removed from the website. Thank you for your patience.

This place is a joke! I've tried to get my car in there for five months for a head gasket only for them to tell me they're waiting on a loaner . FIVE MONTHS! This is nearly impossible ive called once a week for a month and no response back!! They are scammers and waiting on my warranty to expire! Go else where . Still waiting on the manager to call me

As you can see by their response, they didn't even read my complaint. I can for sure get approved dummies. Just bought 2 more cars from you less than 2 months ago ???????good lie though. They then blocked me from Facebook as they don't want anyone knowing the service they are providing. Hiding in shame. ??

****** service here these days. Just keeps going downhill. They lie about pricing, lie about terms, lie about what the have or don't have, tell you to come in and look in a ice storm, to tell u after you show up, sorry we can't let you drive them because they need this or that still. Add extras to your purchase like warranties without asking permission. Shady dealer and ****** service. Avoid and go elsewhere.

Regarding your current situation, we apologize that purchasing a new vehicle may not be possible given your unique situation. We’d be happy to work with you if you have explored potential solutions or if your own bank is willing to work with you. Unfortunately, we are not a Bank and do not currently have a Lender that would work with your needs. Should your situation change please know our door is always open.

Took my 2022 Taos SE in for a service and rear brakes on September 12th. It had no engine problems before this. During the repairs my car went into limp mode for misfires and on October 17th they called saying the car was fixed. If you spend some time online it's clear that misfires on these engines rarely go away. Multiple owners complained of ongoing scenarios where their vehicles dropped into limp mode following repairs. I have zero faith in the safety and reliability of this vehicle and all I did was take it in for a service. Volkswagen claimed that the dealership says it's safe to drive and that I must pick it up. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a lawyer or a rental car to get me by until VW makes a decision on buying back the car. Now I get to take risk my family's safety and those that also commute on I-70 in KC. Evidently, it's a risk that Volkswagen and the dealership deem acceptable. I do not and have made sure everyone in my life know the situation these entities have put me in. This is my 3rd and last VW from this dealership.

Ryan, thank you for your feedback. I can understand your frustration and concern with a newer vehicle having issues and I apologze for that. You are correct, it would not have just gone away on it's own. Your vehicle did have a major repair completed regarding the misfire of your vehicle. VW of America would not have you driving a vehicle if they did not believe the repair fixed the issue. In addition, they did send out a Quality Control Manager to oversee the fix. I have faith that VWOA has stepped up and will continue to do the right thing. If we can be of further assistance with any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out. Thank you

After reading these reviews, it sounds as if we dodged a bullet. We were working with the dealership to purchase a used vehicle for my son. My husband and son went out 24 hours ago and test drove the car. We indicated that we were interested and would like to have it inspected by our mechanic and set up an appointment for that. We were told that the car was going to be sent to a wholesaler so there was nobody else interested in the car. The car was to be inspected tomorrow afternoon, I was called over my lunch hour today, indicating that someone was coming in to purchase the car and they were going to give them the same price that they were offering to us. The individual was already on their way out to the dealership to purchase the car. There is a good way to do business and a poor way to do business- this was the latter and the reason I will never engage with this dealership again and will provide this same cautionary feedback to anyone that asks- I'll also direct them to the several other one-star ratings that apparently illustrate their poor service and business practices. Makes you wonder how the BBB has an A+ rating when the average set of reviews for this company is 1.73/5 stars.

In August of this year. I leased a new 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL R-Line from Lee Summit Volkswagen. Also, part of this transaction, I traded in my 2016 Volkswagen Passat R-Line that I purchased from Volkswagen of Lee Summit in 2016. Also a down payment was applied along with this lease of the 2024 Tiguan. A day later I received a promotional email from Volkswagen of Lee Summit, stating that any purchase or lease of any new Volkswagen the purchaser would receive a $1000 cruise certificate. The next day I returned to the dealership to drop of title documents from my 2016 Passat, and immediately inquired about why the cruise offer was not presented to me at the time of purchase. The response peculiar at best, so I went home and researched the promotion online. In which I found that this was Lee Summit Volkswagens 10th year anniversary sale event. A day or so later I received a message from Lee Summit stating that an email was sent to me and all I needed to do was sign it and send it back. After reviewing the email, I was surprised to see that it was a Declaration and Release form from the promotional offer that had the box checked that I refused the offer, and it was postdated 17 September 2024 along with signatures from the finance manager and desk manager. After speaking with the finance manager who stated that since they gave me more for my trade the promotion did not apply to me. At this time, I refused to sign the form stating my displeasure with their actions, since the offer never stated anything about being disqualified due to purchase discounts or trade discounts. This to me is an unethical practice that is unbecoming of a dealership that promotes and sells the Volkswagen brand which is an impeccable reputation as a leader in automotive Enginuity. I'm heart broken and this may be the last time I purchase or lease from Volkswagen of Lee Summit. Below I have attached the link to the owner Jeff D**** TV ad.

Thank you Derwin for taking the time to speak with me. I apologize that the communication was not prompt with our title clerk. Just let us know when you are back in town, as I mentioned before you do need to come in to the dealership to sign the forms to activate the cruise voucher. Thank you again!

Lee's Summit VW owes us over $1600 in penalty, services, and tax reimbursement. About every other week for over three months, when I think we get close to them doing the right thing, they quit responding to e-mails and calls. Last, my wife's credit was ran more than once, which may have future impacts to her credit score.

VW Lees Summit lied about the vehicle they sold me. They lied about the rebate as well. Then when I continually let them know that the vehicle (ID.4) would not meet my driving needs (ID.4 would only travel 153 miles when it is cold out on 100% charge - I was told it would go 405 miles on a 80% charge, I was told there are free charging stations everywhere, which is absolutely not accurate and the lies went on and on and on). I called and complained repeatedly.
So the sales manager told me (three times) "can't say this, but if you were my friend, church member or sister I would tell you to just give it back. They auction it. We have customers do it all the time, some 2-3 time. It's the only way out...."
They were unethical from the start.
They would not help me - they say they did, but they absolutely did not. I am stuck paying a huge amount of money for a vehicle I could not use.
I tried to call and email Jeff D**** - they gave me his incorrect email twice, I asked them to send an email to him for me - they never did.
The BBB recommended I open a case with the Attorney General and I have.
For 10 months I have tried to figure out a fair settlement with them. But it all went nowhere.
I have never worked with a more unethical organization.
