I purchased a Mercedes-Benz from them, and within just four months, the valve body failed—an issue costing $4,000 to repair. Despite being assured at the time of purchase that the vehicle was in excellent condition and free of issues, I have now been left with a costly repair and no support from the dealership.

They misrepresented the car’s reliability and falsely led me to believe there were no concerns, even insisting on full asking price due to its supposed quality. Now, they refuse to take any responsibility, citing that the vehicle is not under warranty—something they failed to clarify properly during the sale.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating and unfair. A car should not require such extensive repairs this soon after purchase, and a reputable dealership should stand by their vehicles.

The vehicle is out of our 30 day/1000 mile warranty, which the customer was aware of and acknowledged.  The customer was offered an extended service warranty which was declined.   The vehicle had a very good service history done by the local Mercedes store.  Plus was checkout in our service department.

As per the Mercedes service personnel our manager spoke to, there is no way to know if a valve body is bad, it can just simply go bad without warning.  As for the cost of repair Mercedes are very expensive to repair versus other makes, that is the nature of the product.  It is unfortunate when something goes wrong well after the warranty period.   This issue is not a result of our servicing of the vehicle.

The attached buyers guide was displayed on the vehicle per Missouri Law and was signed by the customer at delivery. Which explains our warranty covering the vehicle.
